Went to make a withdrawal today and was greeted with a message that the book has closed. They claim they are in negotiations with another book.

Really upset about this given I was down so much there that the least they could have done was pay me back the small four figures I had there.

Can't justify playing offshore again unless this is resolved quickly.

Hate to hear garbage like this.....I hope you get some sort of bailout,If a book does accept Alliance accounts be assured the new book will attach some kind of rollover before you can withdraw funds.....Hope It works out for you,Bud.

How long has Alliance Sportsbook been in business?

Thanks Joedogs. I have been with them for about a year. Not sure how long they were opened before that. At this point I would be fine with a rollover if it is with a reputable book like heritage. I had to be one of their better customers and thought I had a good relationship with Irene.

Heritage isn't bailing anyone out. Bet everything you've got on that. Nor is any other 'reputable' book.

It's one thing if you're playing at a book like Alliance and don't know anything about online gambling forums. But is says you've been here since 2006. Why would anyone play at a shop like this?

Tony from 5Dimes told me over a year ago...'play with shit books, get shit on your hands'.

Sorry to be a dick but there's no reason anyone who reads the forums should be playing at shit like Alliance, HRWAGER...etc.

[h=1]Alliance Sportsbook closes; $80K in player balances pending[/h] By: SBR | Monday, January 13, 2014

Alliance Sportsbook (SBR rating D+) has closed. One of the two partners behind Alliance wrote SBR claiming that while the company was acquired just a year and a half ago, there are current negotiations to sell the business to a larger gaming shop. At the time of closure, $80,000 in player balances is on the books to about 125 players.
Players have been asked to write service@alliancewagering.net for all payout requests. It has been stated that all balances will be paid within 45 to 60 days. No other details were given concerning the closure, though the letter paid homage to the Alliance Sportsbook staff and specifically referenced that they were in no way responsible for the closure.

SBR reported on 1 January 2014 that an Alliance Sportsbook payout dispute remained outstanding. A player reported being owed $6,000 as part of a payment plan that has run for longer than one year. The player's account was closed with his balance just over $15,000 in December 2012. Alliance management failed to respond to this claim, although it is assumed to be a separate obligation than the reported balances. It is unknown if other large winners who were shown the door or also owed and not included in the $80,000 figure.
SBR encourages players to follow Alliance Sportsbook's note of submitting their payout requests via email to service@alliancewagering.net.

Not going to happen. All balances will be paid within 45 to 60 days translaters into...don't try to kill us while we pack our shit and head for the hills.

I sent the email as requested but have not heard anything back.

I played at this book because they had fast payouts on a few hours and were easy to work with. It's a reminder than these books are not a bank and your money is at risk whether it's wagered on a game or sitting in an available balance.

Sorry for your troubles BC and hope that you get something back.

But I don't understand something that many players do.
If a player isn't sure about a book, they are better of playing at sponsors who actually care enough to sponsor themselves at sites like this.

Fast payouts there days is more often a bad thing than good.

Never even heard of this book, with only 125 players, it's not likely many others have either.

Not to justify what they have done but why do you guys continue to play at ass books (SBR D+)?

Why not just go with a reputable book?

For starters I have done ok the last 10 years with sports so I thought the risk/reward was minimal for thr deposit made.

I knew Sal that worked there for at least a year and he was a stand up guy.He left 6/7 months ago so i knew there might be issues

They had -105 lines and have paid me quickly & free for the last year.I was able to get my original deposit + some profit. We will see

125 players is small.. definitely people should be checking to see their graded or placed wagers how much they go up daily on the count to determine possibility of large or small book in question.
