What would've happened if Mo Lewis hadn't have blown up Drew Bledsoe?

Drew Bledsoe was a losing QB. Bill Bellichik had to know that. That's why he stuck with Brady when Bledsoe got healthy and why he moved him out at season's end. Either you produce for the team or Bellichik replaces you. Contribution buries sentiment in Bellichikville. It was inevitable that Brady would have gotten his chance. The Pats were coming off a 5-11 season and were 0-2 under Bledsoe. Like doubledeuce said, it was only a matter of games before Brady got his chance.

To be fair, his career record was 98-95 and he played on some bad NE teams.

Guy threw for 251 TDs and 206 picks. His career QBR was 77.1 and he finished 4-3 in the postseason.

He had a solid 14-year career.

How can people say no different at all? Clearly it would be somewhat different cause Brady never would have played that year.

Just saw this thread, have been asked this before.

The 2001 season probably does go a little different because of how much $ the Pats were paying Bledsoe at the time. They probably stick with him for a little longer than they should've but pretty much agree with Mich/DD that Brady would've been starting sooner than later. Not like he lucked into being 1 of the best QBs ever or something, cream rises to the top usually...

2001 Patriots would've still beat the Rams due to the Patriots defense shut down the "Greatest show on Turf".
MVP would've been Bledsoe!
