These guys were doing the same shit at Evangeline a month or two ago. I know people affected by both track's pool manipulation.

You bet the horses you don't want into the pool for a large amount, and you bet the ones you do want for a larger amount offshore so that it wont affect the odds. Not sure of the exact mechanics but that is basically how it works and is common enough that nearly every shop has a rule against it in their terms and conditions.

Yeah they have to win but its sort of like betting an NFL side at -3+1500, I guarantee you would take that bet every time even if it was going to lose 9 out of 10 times.

they did 6 doubles Friday and hit 4 doubles....the prices were crzy....one double paid $66 and the prices were $5 and $6. Saturday they did 3 doubles and hit all 3.....a $9 horse and a $11 horse resulted in a $158 d.d.

who could be stupid enough to pay them?

I dont know of any books that currently carry a rule that states that those types of bets wont be paid, potential suspension of account yes but not the revocation of funds.
