Honesty is a beautiful thing.

Most people know that the NFL Pro Bowl is one of the biggest farces in all of sports. Fans have said this for years despite the league's constant effort to improve the exhibition. However, an NFL great is now getting in on the action.

Hall of Fame coach and legendary broadcaster John Madden appeared on SiriusXM's "Schein on Sports" today and ripped the Pro Bowl to shreds.

Clearly Madden is not a fan of the new draft system in which Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders are picking the teams.

Perhaps the league is wasting its time to implement new clock rules for the Pro Bowl bothered Madden, as well.

The pro bowl should be scrapped altogethar. (That will never happen) this sport is massively dangerous. And injuries are always an issue. So this game Wil always b a joke.. If they focused on the skills of each receiver. And defensive linemen. And made it into a strongest man competition.. benchpress. Squats.. sprints. Passes and catches.. field goal kicks and no one really understands the complexities of Punting!!!! OK punting may b boring. But they put spins on the ball to get different bounces..

Anyway.. This could be made into a fascinating competition if they wanted...

i agree it makes no sense to play the pro bowl so let me get this straight roger godell wants to make extra points automatic because its a meaningless play and a risk for injury but yet playing the pro bowl 4 full quarters of football no matter how toned down it is isnt a meaningless chance for players to get hurt? and another thing the weather contingency plan for the super bowl ? hey rodger if youre worried about weather why the fuck even have it in new york in the first place i cannot stand this guy kth)(&^

And does anyone here ever laugh to yourself whenever you hear announcers say so and so is a three or four time Pro Bowl selection? Whenever they say this about a player I'm always like, "Yeah, so?"
