I hope this is fine to ask and normally would not make a thread but 5dimes has it on their front page in HUGE graphics.

I want to know what is your experience using this. They claim it can be used for deposits and payouts with only $5 fees. Seems too good to be true.

I used it at a smaller book I used to play with- it's basically a nonreloadable gift card. Pretty much you snag one off the shelf at a CVS/Walmart type place and tell the cashier how much you want to put on the card. You have to pay in cash, can't use a CC. Each card has a serial number. Tell the CS rep the number and boom. Once you use it up it's worthless. While it is super cheap, I don't think you can put more than $750 on one.

Get the card that goes with it too. It only has a $5/ month service charge and can be used at any ATM.

I never had a problem with this method, in fact it was the main reason why I played at the book. I would recommend it. It's also best to hang on to it after you use it incase there's an issue down the road.

If it's the same as Green Dot MoneyPak it's a joke. Good luck finding a CS number if you have any issues, which you will. I got one of those prepaid cards to collect payouts from an unnamed book, soon as I went over $500 in a week they banned me from putting MoneyPak on my card and using MoneyPak altogether.

Now the sending side, simple to send money, but there's really no recipt or confirmation at all that the party you're sending to receives it. Other than their word....and if you ever lose your card or code gets into the wrong hands, anyone can steal your funds, within seconds.

If there's ever any issue in receiving a Monepak payout, and they need to issue you a refund, you will wait at least 2 weeks to get it.

Biggest issue is finding a CS number where you can talk to a live person.

I used them a long time ago. If I remember correctly I went online and found a CS number pretty easily.

I never had a problem with them

According to 5dimes you can have multiple cards and withdraw as much as you please for free. Seems pretty good. I don't withdraw much but it makes depositing much better and cheaper then other methods.

One quick question to those who've used it.

Are you able to get cash from the card somehow? I guess if I'm just limited to used the card then maybe it's not as good as I thought.

Yes, and that's basically how MoneyPak shut me down. You've got to have a prepaid card that accepts MoneyPak, which are widely available, but the card needs to be registered....you cannot take cash out till the registered card comes in the mail.

Good luck on finding a phone number with a live person...

Phone numbers, sure they've got a lot of them, but a phone number in which you can talk to a live person will take some digging.

everyone thought this was going to be the next big thing like 3 months ago, like some kind of new secret neteller.. laughable.

bottom line, this is a p a y p a l product and you'll be cut off in record time, it's a complete joke and waste of time.

Yea....I'm so vocal on this subject because the nightmare of it is so fresh on my mind. I was shut down by MoneyPak after loading about $500 in a weeks time on my card. Now the remaining money I was able to skirt thru ****** and into my bank account, but I had a feeling ****** was ready to shut me down too. Now if you try to load a MoneyPak onto a card that wasn't registered properly, which happens more time than not, your only option is waiting for a check by mail that will take at least 10 business days.

The main reason I was given, when I was able to finally talk to a live person, (the trick is to find the change your address number) was that I was receiving out of state transfers.

Oh so moneypak themselves ban you if they suspect you are using the funds for betting? What a joke.
