And conscientiously object to military service and refuse to say the Pledge of Allegiance?

Curious.

Anyone know?

dude you could put in almost the exact title of this thread into google search and you would find the answers you seek

i typed in 'why jehovahs witness don't say the pledge of allegiance' and 34000 results came up.

I did. I would like to hear your opinion.

From what I looked up on Google just now, they believe that all governments are controlled by Satan. Joining the military would be like joining Satan.

I'd think you'd be more interested in why a Jehovah's Witness opinion than mine. As it is, seems that it's pretty well articulated on a number of those sites and you said you've read their positions on these topics, so then I guess your question to the board really is, 'what do you think about the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to acknowledge the flag and object to military service?'

come on man.
lets not make this complicated.
its a message board with 10 new threads a day.
who cares if you can look it up on google.

Kind of what I was thinking as well.

This topic came up in conversation today and I seriously did not know these folks refuse to say the pledge.

Do I agree with it? No but then again I don't agree with any other religious bullshit. It's all shite to me.

exactly, let's not make it complicated
- ask a question that literally has the 'correct' answer when you search for it
- ask that same question to a bunch of online sports bettors looking for the correct answer (which Enfuego really in essence said he wasn't doing, since he already looked up the answer on google before posting the thread) - so he should ask what he really wants to know, which is do people agree with Jehovah's Witnesses' POV, since he literally found the 'right' answer and clarified he wanted my/theboard's opinion on the right answer.

nevermind

When I lived in Denver in 1980 and 1981, the first two women I asked out were Jehovahs. When they both declined they spewed the company line which I have mostly forgotten by now. I guess they were trying to tactfully let me know that I was on Satan's team and they were not allowed to fraternize with even small time devils like myself.

I don't know if it's a dying religion or not, but I haven't seen their little Watchtower booklet hung on my front door in many years. Their end of the world prophecy that was supposed to happen back in the 70's probably didn't help them.

I send them down to my neighbors house. I tell them that he keeps questioning me about God and stuff. I also say that he has been a little depressed. They skip the house inbetween and practically go running over.

He's a cop and can be a little rough around the edges.

As citizens they are allowed to refuse to acknowledge the flag. You dont have to agree with it, but you do have to accept it

If the criteria for starting a thread was you could not start one unless you cant find the answer on Google there would be no new threads.

[h=3]Pope's peace doves attacked by crow[/h]same[h=3]Superbowl ticket prices plummet[/h]yep. All over google.
[h=3]Superbowl Recipes[/h]literally millions of those on google.

Just of few of the threads in the top half of the first page you can google.

How come you did not go in those threads to tell them to google it?

If the question was "what's your opinion on the reason JW's don't say the pledge of allegiance" then this would be a better thread.

It would be like someone asking "what is in the big mac secret sauce?" Doesn't need asking simply google it. I get Desthi's point a question that has a straight forward answer without opinion doesn't need to be asked. What's the square root of 4?
