Are sportsforums just full of idiots or is it just rare?

Serious question.

I don't belong to any other forums and I am not going to go search for any. So my question is for those that frequent several forums or are members at other forums besides here.

Are sports forums full of idiots and aholes or is it just something in the water here at times?

Reason I ask is that I post my personal stock recommendations here and post service plays that I purchase. I will also take part in other threads in this section of the forum and don't visit any of the other sports related threads.

I think a lot of people in the service play area are just aholes. They bitch and whine over selections posted, used anti sematic language and seriously it's just childish and immature. These same people will ask over and over everyday for the same services and mooch off those that post. When someone suggests they purchase the pick and post it so they can contribute back, it's like asking them to give up their free Obama Phone.

In this area, people are constantly ripping on each other, posting a bunch of nonsense and false information or pull up posts from 4 years plus and do it for the fun of it. I know I tried to be funny by doing a parody on some posts about what's your drink while you are driving and what not, that was all in fun. I compared it to how Al Yankmydick does his parodies of other artist hit songs. I was called all kind of names and berated when I was just trying to have some fun and bring some life and laughter into the forum. I wasn't going to come back to post, actually took 4 days off and really haven't posted much since. Not sure if it is worth the time to help people make $ as I have.

Perhaps I am looking at this all wrong, maybe this is what sports forums are, I have no idea, but if I were an advertiser or someone paying to pitch a product at a site, the last thing I would want to see is things I have mentioned.

Maybe I am way off, maybe I am not, I'd like some feedback.

Finally my comments are in no shape or form a knock on any mods, the site or anyone in particular, they are just my general observation and nothing more. Don't make it into something it isn't.

Don't rip me up for asking.

It's just all forums. For some reason they bring out the worst in people. Anything you post has to be challenged by someone else to show they have a bigger dick.

The Rx is tame compared to other boards.

I think the simple explanation as to why you see some posters bickering in the service plays forum, is because a number of them are the "services" themselves.

They get offended when someone else critiques,, lists false plays, or posts the wrong record to a service they are secretly affiliated with...

You're a lot smarter than the average bear! That's BEYOND OBVIOUS by your stock posts. Unfortunately many people are not as intelligent nor courteous. People in general these days make knee jerk reactions and don't think before they run their mouths. It's normal online, not just in sports forums, and becoming even more so offline.

Roll with the punches man. I for one like your posts so don't let the whiny little bitches discourage you. Swat them aside and keep on doing what you do best.

I can remember two posters here admitting to having sex with young girls and admitting they'd do it again if they have the opportunity. There are some real scumbags here.

But...there are also some very respected guys that have professional careers, are educated and donate a lot of their free time. Not all are bad.

Whenever you get a large group of diverse people together, you are going to have a certain percentage that you see eye-to-eye with and that you like, some that you absolutely don't like, and some that you just get along with.

In real life you can separate yourself from the ones you don't like, here you can't.

It's just one big open room.

True. Think about statistics. There are people on this and any forum that are crazy or have committed a murder or are kid touchers. Everyone is here folks.

Thanks for the feedback, it gave me a better understanding of the forum dynamics not only here but elsewhere. When you tend to look at things straight forward or without bias, things seem to be a bit clearer than when you go in with a bias or have a thought process of I dislike/hate certain people.

I try to look at everyone the same because if you go in with a perception that others have, then you miss out on an opportunity to see someone or something for what they are or what it is.

I hope nobody took offense to anything, that wasn't and still isn't why I made the post. I've been thinking about this for awhile and I guess the Service Play area really pushed it over the edge today. There are posters there that have good intentions always, they aren't hard to figure out who they are. One made a mistake by posting something someone else posted I presume elsewhere. The info was wrong. People wanted the poster banned for posting wrong info. This poster posts a lot of cappers. To see the backlash and the "N" word being ready to be mixed in and people using anti-sematic wording and using the jews and holocaust into the equation it was beyond over the top.

I wanted to go off on people there, but they wouldn't get it. I never understand how people get mad because they bet a game someone posted and it lost. I post a capper I've been with for a long time, if they lose and I posted it, I feel bad. But at the same time when they win, I feel good I helped out in some way and others won too. They win way more than they lose so I am happy to help others. I mean look at my tag, Friendly and Helpful. That sums me up.

The stock market and my recommendations have been above average in returns. I know when I post others will read it and either choose to act accordingly or do nothing, well let me rephrase that, one guy said he was going to keep me honest and short the stock. I recommend WWE stock at $16.30 it closed today at $21.96. This has all happened in a matter of a few weeks. So if he truly shorted, he lost a great bit. I appreciate the kind words WVJoe.

In closing, I know there are a lot of great not good people on this site, if that wasn't the case, I wouldn't be here. I may not agree with what I read, but it would be boring if I did.

This is one of the main reasons I don't post a lot on forums. I am not a attention
whore like a lot of posters. Their is a lot of good guys on this forum but just as
KingofNicotine mentioned above The Rx is tame compared to other boards. The
problem I have is I am always the same whether it be on a message board or in
real life I just cant be a liar and a fraud just because I am behind a keyboard and
no one really knows me but theirs a lot out there that can do that...I just can't even
if I tried............
