I know, I know, people love their dogs and cats etc.

But damn bro, these are hairy animals. They get this shit all over the couch and it gets on your clothes.

Couches are for humans, the floor is for animals.

Who's with me?

Ya know fuefo, I used to have a Shih Tzu that I kept inside and let lay on my furniture, but he was kept very clean, and of course trained to go out.

But recently I went to someone else's house and they had big dogs in their very nice home, and the smell about knocked me out when they opened the door and I went in.

So, moral of the story is, that smell & experience has either changed my perspective of the subject of animals being kept inside, or that big dogs should not be kept inside as small dogs are.

I'm still undecided...

Nothing worse than going to someone's house and they let a big dog jump up on the couch where you're sitting to lick your face and get hair all over the place.

we do those things

but our corgi pom mix is rather small, extremely friendly (maybe to a fault sometimes), loves people and everyone just loves him too (yes, very guest)

10 month old Kemba is a rock star (he was even invited out to a Super Bowl Party)

rescued a blind pit/dalmatian mix…he rules this house. saved him a day before euthanasia, i let him do what he wants. he feels more secure when he's with you, so i let him on furniture. very well behaved, well trained, always clean, and i like him more than 95% of humans.

I doubt there is a single person reading who would be surprised the person who started this thread would freak out over....dog hair.

Anyway, my last dog I found on the Highway (I 79 south!) "Lucky" and she was allowed on the couch (we put old sheets on the furniture) and sometimes slept in the bed.
Had to put her down a few years ago, I miss that dog so damn much...

I've got a 10 pound terrier mix. He pretty much rules the house and does what he wants, including the couch and bed. But he's very clean, quiet and well behaved and doesn't shed hair.

Our small dog (~25 pound beagle mix) is allowed on the couch. It is a leather couch and he doesn't shed much, so hair isn't much of an issue.
Larger dog sheds more, but is too big to get comfortable on the couch, so not an issue

Our Chocolate Lab was always allowed on the couch, and always slept in our bed. Recently, she has become too sore to jump onto either, so she is content on the floor. We always put a blanket on the couch, covering her spot of choice.
