Wow those are some very good lines. My place has numbers way lower than that.

200/1 Annett
20/1 Field

With several drivers going to new teams, this Daytona Speed Weeks will be interesting to watch. Should be fun to watch Kurt Busch with his new team. One driver entering his second season with the big boys is Ricky Stenhhouse. This kid has a ton of potential/talent and I'm thinking he's in for a good season. Of the veterans, my take is Jeff Gordon will be on a mission this year.

Whoot Whoot, and my Fav pick, Austin Dillon, wins the Pole. Can he win from it? The #3 in Victory Lane?!?! Wow, how special would that be. I loved to watch Dillon on our local dirt tracks throughout the Carolinas 3-5 years ago. And you guessed it, he piloted a Black #3, just like his Grandpa's best friend Dale Sr. did. I like this kid. I think he outperforms Dale Jr. in no time at all towards an impressive career.

Richard made a very smart move in his development of his grandsons...especially Austin. At the beginning of their racing careers, he hired Georgia dirttrack driver Dale McDowell and his brother Shane to touter them. Dale helped Austin learn the ropes on dirt with the Super Late Models. You know Matty but others don't realize that these are 2200 pound cars carrying 700 plus horsepower. In other words, on the quarter, 3 eights and half mile tracks...they will fly.

I met Dale back in the early 90's at Dixie Speedway in Woodstock, Georgia. Nice guy and super racer. Use to love watching Dale, Ronnie Johnson and Scott Bloomquist run. They always put on a show.

Sidenote Matty. Is Jeff Smith still running in the Carolinas? Watched his dad Freddy race on many a night. Ole double zero was a good one.

Jeff Smith owns J&J Racecars in Gastonia, NC. He still runs a Late Model, and the business seems to be doing well.
