NASCAR's all time win leader is not a big fan of Danica Patrick's driving ability. Asked on Sunday at the Canadian Motorsports Expo if Danica Patrick could ever win in the Sprint Cup Series, Petty replied, "If everybody else stayed home. If she'd been a male, nobody would ever know if she'd showed up at the racetrack."

King Richard is only saying what most of the other drivers believe but are affraid to say in public. Wonder Woman has one top 10 finish (8th) in 46 races at NASCAR's highest level. All Patrick is doing is keeping a better/more qualified driver out of a car.

I've been saying this for, well 46 races and before. lol Several local and regional talent ladies round these parts would give Mrs. Danica something she couldn't handle. She can even bring the best equipment she can get, which we know she has access to.

Heck, why don't we just have a Danica Patrick and Willie T. Ribbs Provisional Starter rule in place next. One female and one black/minority in every race...

She is not a chance/risk taker. She plays a safe race and moves up the standings due to attrition of other drivers. She has a top tier owner and is given top tier technology, but the driver aspects count just as much as technology in this sport and she is below average at best in this category. There are plenty of Nationwise/Truck Series drivers who are much more talented and would flourish behind the wheel of the Go Daddy car this year.

Richard and Kyle Petty statements: politically correct..no, honest and accurate...yes.

Petty is spot on with his comment. With that said, it is hypocritical. What has he done as an owner? Not a lot when it comes to winning races.

She is good at getting lapped again when someone takes the checkered flag

Just remember any race Mikey Waltrip can win she has a chance so glad Ricky took her out with only what 6 cars left last week

sorry. a great driver cannot win with a slow car. it is not a sport, it is auto mechanics. just having a woman beat other males at the highest level proves it's not a sport. let me know when a woman competes at the highest level of a real sport.
