If there were no cops.......

This basically is a question about the relative good and bad in society. I'm always tending to see the good in people and I'm sometimes lulled into thinking that society as a whole is good. Then I wake up and remember what happened when the cops left New Orleans during Katrina, and girls were raped in the Superdome. This could be kind of taken as a stoner question, but I am curious what you all think. How would life in the US operate if there was no law enforcement and society had to police itself?

if no cops I don't think there is anyway the world will operate as it does today. people will migrate to undeveloped areas and live off the land. Groups of people will stay in smaller groups like tribes and fend for their group only. No one will really wander off alone because it is too dangerous.

True Story…
Went Golfing some 10-15 yrs ago….
I was w/ great friends…
Most 5-0….anyway
We had the usually fun time…
Some drank most did not…as they had to work …
Anyway…we go into the Club House to eat and drink (19[SUP]th[/SUP] hole)
And play the dumb ass golf game…
So we all make it home safe…. me too…
THIS IS WHERE IT SUCKS….
My phone rings @ 1-2am (not sure, lost track)…
One of my BEST FRIENDS (WHO GOLFED that day)…
Said….””HE SHOT HIM, HE SHOT HIM, HE SHOT HIM””
I can’t tell you the pain…really…sick just typing this
A punk Gang Banger…
Blew off my friends face (5-0)…
This is hard to type…
So YES…

I've been to a few funerals for fallen Police Officers.

Tough to describe the whole experience, and feel around the whole ceremony. The whole day really.

I'm pretty familiar with this story and cannot wait to hear how those douche bag cops try getting out of this one.....all I've heard so far is one of them was holding 'what looked to be a sharp object'.....200 yards away.

I've worked with a lot of cops over the past 10 years....95% of them are trash. They're wired different, they get off on wrecking peoples day.

If there were no cops.......
