they are trying hard to get rid of the unlimited data users who didnt have a reason to lose their grandfathering...it might work

Yeah I Lost that the last time I Upgraded. But I don't use much Data on my phone anymore, so I'm good.

I'm less than 1GB now, pay for 1GB
So now they want to give 2GB for less than what I'm paying now. Just don't want to re-set my Phone Upgrade ... which comes up in July.

Been trying to buy a New Samsung S4 online for retail... But not crazy to pay $599
maybe I should try Amazon ...guess I need Unlocked or Verizon

Yes. Don't cancel AT&T or u lose ur number. Bring ur AT&T account number and password to verizon and they do everything

so if I walk into a verizon store or online to buy a Samsung s4 for Retail, whats the deal with that I need to go Month to Month ??

I understand when they have the Deals for $199, or $299. They are making up difference in the contract for what they pay for the phones.
But there should be discounts for Loyal customers.

and that Verizon Edge thing is all Smoke and Mirrors

I've been with Verizon since 1997, IMO they are the Best... but they can be a pain in the ass

you can absolutely go pay full retail for a phone and keep whatever plan you have right now. you will be considered a month to month customer which means you can leave at any time with no penalty but pay the same pricing as a contract monthly bill. if you do the edge program you have to be a new customer for an upgrade and you will lose your unlimited data

Not sure I want to do that since I am bundled with My Home phone and Fios

Maybe I will wait a little longer... see what the s5 looks like and by that time I will be up for an Upgrade.

Not sure if this is true but a friend of mine told me all those "grandfathered unlimited data plans" are indeed unlimited.....but they slow your shit way down after your reach a certain amount.

like I said, not sure if that is true

i dont think att "throttles" you. but i do know other carriers do. The mark is usually at 2GBs of data
