If you want to save some money on your cell phone bill.....

I have verizon, been with them 15 years and really like them. Call em up, ask to speak to cancellation dept. Tell them you are going to switch to Tmobile because of the EArly termination fees they are doing and a lower monthly bill. They will reduce your bill enough to make it worth your time. Dropped mine from $120+ tax to $75+ tax. Told some friends about it as well and everybody had their bill reduced, one by $90 a month (4 phones on his plan)

if you do it, post how much it saved you in this thread. Just curious

Forgot to add, all my friends that have done it have had AT&T as their provider. I've been the only verizon customer so far out of people I know

some company out there is offering to pay the early termination fees for you I believe.. forget which one.. you could really use this to your advantage.. (get new phone with 2 yr contract cheap, then have att or whoever buy u out. ha

Yea it's Tmobile. But you have to fork over your cell phone and they give you some money, not much, for it towards your new bill with them.....Tmobile sucks in Texas

PS- did they switch ur plan up at all to get u down to that or just drop the price down on ur current plan. Because I am grandfathered into all the unlimited usage which I love since I use a ton of data.

i recently switched to Verizon's $45 plan which is unlimited talk and text plus 250MB of data.

but AT&T's 4G LTE coverage is much better than Verizon's in my area, so i'm now looking for an unlocked GSM phone so i can use it one of those cheaper AT&T pre-paid MVNO places like Aio or H20 which offer $35 plans with unlimited talk and text plus 500MB data. they also have a $45 plan which is unlimited talk and text with 2.5GB data.

No change to my plan. I have unlimited talk/text and 4gb data......I get a 20% discount with the company I work for and I did have to give that up, but it's way cheaper this way......give it a try, all they can say is no

Thanks for the tip! That was remarkably easy - they lowered my bill by $40 and gave me another GB of data. I also had to drop my work discount, but still a much better deal. One other thing is they made me add 3 mos to my contract since I'm up in November, but said I can still upgrade in Nov and will be able to carry over plan. Verizon btw.

how many phones are on this plan?

Guys it would be best to include total smart phones on plan /how many gbs data.. and new and old cost.. so we can do apples to apples on this

For instance I pay only 75$ per month for unlimited data and 900 mins talk/text (unlimited) old grandfather plan.. 1 phone.. not sure its worth my while to call since OP said he got down to $75 (if he means 1 phone of course)

2 phones for me. One smart phone and the other one is just a line I added to get a free phone when I lost my old phone.....it's worth a shot to call, you don't actually have to follow through with canceling your plan if they can't get you a better deal. And it's not like they are going to raise your bill with the threat of losing a contract

im on the same exact plan as u. I called them last night to say I wanted cancel as outlined by Taylor. So she is calling me back today to see what I can get lowered to since I don't want my plan changed.

i am in the same situation...if you call, can you please post the outcome....

i use my phone to watch netflix etc on the TV in my camper van all the time, to watch nba games, etc and so i use a ton of data as well, so they may be happy to see me go
