Pefect car for Costa Rica. The fourth generation Mitsubishi
Montero GLS is the toughest and most capable of luxury 4x4 SUVs.

247 horsepower 3.8L V6 MIVEC engine with 5-speed automatic
INVECS-II tiptronic transmission provides all the power and
control you need on the mountain roads and highways.

The Super-Select 4WD II system complemented by an Active
Stability & Stability & Traction Control (ASTC) system and
electronic brakeforce distribution, and 8.7 inches of ground
clearance insures you'll never get stuck on on a beach or
river crossing.

The vehicle is a dark green that looks black in the shade and
metallic green in the sunlight, with a beige leather interior
and all the extras. It is an extremely quiet, smooth and luxurious
ride.

The car has aftermarket tinted security windows that are supposed
to be shatter proof, and alarm.

No such thing as a quick sale in Costa Rica. Even if you dropped your price in half.

The car I purchased was on the market for 3 weeks after owner published a realistic price. I sold my motorcycle in 10-13 days. A family member sold his house here in 2 months. I almost purchased a vehicle that was on the market for 2 weeks and I wasn't able to because someone snatched up the deal before I closed it.

It isn't hard to sell shit fast; just price it a little below market value. Generally, it can be faster than in the US from my experience because people are so starved for sales.

Real sales close fast. This car @ $18k (a dime below market value) would sell in a matter of weeks.

Markets work just fine. People, their expectations and the endowment effect... that is another matter.

Costa Rica is awesome for selling high end shit actually, because if you undercut market by 5-10% people go gaga, they never get those deals. Americans are accustom to getting shit for a deep discount when hunting for sales.

(sorry Adam for hijacking your thread, I hope your buddy sells his vehicle for all that he is asking for)

There was a solid offer at $22k before it was even listed for sale. My buddy didn't like the deal because the Tico was buying it for a Gringo at $25k and wanted the $3k difference under the table.

That's not a "solid offer" that's a Tico trying to pull a fast one on an unsuspecting Gringo.
