Well, 8 degrees out, was 12 when I started. 20 MPH winds and snowing sideways.

No complaints here in dixie , it did get really cold overnite down to about 20ish , but bright and sunny today warming up in the 50's.

Back to cold weather today .....

This winter killed me . I have had 2 surgeries since Christmas, 1 that i blame the last one ( last Saturday ) directly on the cold and snow .
I have been going back and forth to visit my sons in Florida. I think after this winter I could see myself there next winter ......

Got 6 or 7 more years till life on the Caribbean , but I cant do another 6 winters like this .......

you cant do much better than Costa Rica. They says its the best climate in the world. Hard to argue. sunny 360 days a year, warm days and cool at night. Perfect.

the place is called altamer...they have a hotel and then three villas....the villas are huge and expensive, so need to roll deep to make it doable....we have six adults and four kids in our group....still plenty of space, but not sure it is worth the $ unless very special occasion (i.e., family reunion, retirement, etc)...i imagine the hotel is a lot more reasonable, especially for a smaller group

thanks Defying....having a great time, but already dreading the flights back to LA with 1.5 and 4-year old boys

we are splitting it up and staying a night in Chicago to spread the pain across two days

all depends where you live. Has gotten a lot more expensive the last few years.
