Mt. Gox claiming that 750,000 Bitcoins were hacked and now lost. This accounts for about 7% of the overall bitcoin currency. That is a crazy amount of money.
I have always loved heist stories and movies. They generally revolve around a really smart plan such as tunneling under vaults or any other storyline. Nowadays, it's just hacking. Crazy stuff.
Surprisingly, this negative ness hasn't really affected the bitcoin price too much. It dropped down to $400 but has now risen back to $600. I'm just not sure how I could trust investing in it if I was always worried about someone hacking and stealing all of my virtual currency.
