I know only 1... and he still has to work a pt. time job. But I know he pulls in 40-60 every year for the last 7-10 years handicapping??

Do you think a pro handicappers life has more ups and downs than a pro poker players life?

I know 4 personally .... but none of them work any kind of Real Job because that is there Job.

The guy you talk about about above is no where near any Pros I know... these guys bet a Min of $10K per game and on Avg. $25K per game up to $100K

Now they don't always win ... but they Win more than they lose. ( Most years )

Do they have a sport, type of bet (i.e halftime totals) or anything of that nature they gravitate to?

I think Harralob at his peak was only betting like 75k a game max so 25-100 is a ton to get down.

They play mostly NFL and some NBA.

They don't bet at just one Shop, so they can reach $100K with ease

Do you know how many games they bet per year on average?
Guess they pull 6figures easily, an average stake of 25k, even a small amount like 100 bets per year with a 2% profit would already net you that and knowing you and having met one of your highroller friends, I doubt that it would just turn out to be 2% (also 100 bets seems like a rather low number of bets).

Good ol' Dante sometimes still around at the RX these days?

Yeah and he always asks how you're doing....

I would think that's about right, give or take.... 100 wagers sounds good.
I've seen anywhere from 3-5 games wagered on a NFL Sunday... almost never buying a hook. 98% straight game wagers ATS .
other wagers would be 2nd half plays

One guy likes to bet on 2nd halfs .. he bets $5k-$20K and some full game Total's .

None of these guys touch Baseball ...

I was told that there are too many games to Cap each and every day.

the more and more I delve into the heavier specifics of this hobby,, this is my pattern,,, straight bets,,, hedge out 2nd half when possible,, Bet quality not quantity,,,

its a long climb and quite a dream to make it even close to those standards,, geesh,,,

one day,,,,

I know of one. Guy is pretty incredible. He places way more than a 100 bets per yr. Not sure what his smallest wager is but I know he has bet 6 figures a couple times and has won every one of those. He doesn't play bases either. Strongest sport is ncaaf then nfl. He never buys points. Not only is he an excellent capper but he is also lucky as hell. Ball always seems to bounce his way. He plays mostly locally but flies to LV a handful of times during foots season. He doesn't work either as gambling is his main source of income besides investments. Tried picking his brain on many occasions to no avail.

at a winning rate of 56%, and a reasonable bet size of 2%

you will double your bankroll in about 500 bets
