Verne is one of my all time favs but this has been a very tough year for him. His football play by play has become pretty bad and yesterday he didnt even know the name of the UConn coach, calling him Kevin Oliver at least twice. Its time for this legend to call it a day.

And...he said yesterday he has more respect for Aaron Craft than anyone else in the 30 years he's been working the tourney.

What a joke.

Not Manning, Laettner, Hurley, Cleaves or any other tourney legends? Aaron Craft?

And before I could stop laughing over his comment about Craft, Craft misses last second shot to end his career.@):)

Hurley and Craft have some similarities, Craft isnt half the player Hurley was though, theres really no comparison.

And I agree with you tatehill, but its become painful to watch, i noticed it this year with SEC Football, its become too fast for him

ABC may be putting Brent out to pasture too early(taking him off of the A-team) and CBS making be taking too long with Verne.

CBS should probably follow ABC's lead and bump Verne down a little.

I always felt Brent had some hellish juice somewhere (or sucked tons of butt). I never have been a fan. Don't think he has ever been very good.

Their only similarities are that they are both white.

I dont mind Lunquist but blowing Craft on air for 40 mins was hard to listen to.. and I was rooting for OSU in the 2h

Verne has always been one of my favorites because he makes the broadcast fun and keeps it in the proper spirit, But yes he has tripped a little bit this past year and he should go spend all that big $$$ now. Had great rapport with the Raff doing hoops and don't know if he'll ever get back to that level.

Wow............Oh My........My Goodness..............That sums up his football play-by-play (one or two word reactionary responses)
