NASCAR has a future star in 20/21 year old Kyle Larson. The kid is fearless yet drives like a veteran. He won the Nationwide race Saturday and came in second Sunday in the Big Boy race. Last year he was Rookie of the Year in the Nationwide Series. He reminds me of a great dirttracker Scott Bloomquist the way he takes a car in the corner...this kid is good. Young Chase Elliot is showing his colors also. Great to see some good new blood coming up in NASCAR. Its needed.

Ole Scotty! lol Yea, Larson is GOOD! He does like to sling it in there like Scotty and run the whole track. Sometimes it's not the fastest way around the track, but it still makes it hard for the ones behind to get around you. Balls to the wall this kid is...Me likey!

As for Scotty these days, every race I go to or keep up with now he seems to run mid pack or back. I haven't kept up with how any of his chassis are doing with other drivers. I'm partial to Barry Wright and Rocket. lol I thought the owner of Rocket Racing Chassis son, Josh Richards, would be a up and comer too, but so far, things aren't really panning out for him. The Dillon's were a given.

Back in the 90's, Bloomquest drove the house car for Barry Wright. They were winning well over 50% of their races then. Wright's shop was in South Carolina and Bloomer lived in Morristown, Tennessee. Much of the time he would just meet the hauler at the track. During the 90's, he was the best dirttrack racer I have ever seen. Loved to watch Bloomquist and Billy Moyer Jr. (Batesville, Arkansas) go at it. Two of the best and they hated losing to each other.

Scott has to be pushing 50 now and I think he's more devoted to his very successful chassic business than maybe winning races. Even today, never count the guy out in a big money race.

Oh I agree, and know all about it. Barry Wright Race Cars is in Cowpens, SC, and has sit less than 100 yards from my grandparents house my entire life. Sometimes I wish I would've visited more as a youngin and maybe talked myself into a chance at a factory ride since my pocket will never be able to afford one. :)
