Can any of the old timers on here give me some advice as I move into my 50's?

I'm still horny as hell and there's lots left I want to do. But I look at my 60+ yo friends and they look worn down by life

How can I avoid that and age gracefully? Not wanting to turn into Mickey Rourke if you catch my drift

Not that far ahead of you but here's a few things I've learned. Stay active. Once you slow down so does your body. Watch that blood pressure. Can't stress that enough. V8..... Yes, it is full of so many things your body needs. You can't beat your DNA, but you can give it a good battle. Good lick.

Other than plastic surgeries? Nothing. I'm not old but aging is unstoppable and depends completely on genetics. Low calorie diets work in the long term but you would have had to adopt that lifestyle early on in life.

Look at the difference calorie restriction makes.

V8? I crave that shit. For those of you that reach for a beer or a coke or after playing golf or mowing your lawn or any activity where you sweat your balls off. Try having an ice cold V8. Its amazing. I think your body craves it because of the salt and potassium.
They say that if you could put the benefits of exercise in a pill form it would be know as a miracle drug.
I recently went for a stress test and had my whole circulatory system checked out. I asked the cardioligist what he thought is the worst thing people can do for their heart and what to avoid, and without hesitation, he said smoking .He said without a doubt smoking is the worst thing you can do for your heart. I quit 13 years ago.

I'll be 59 in November. Been working rotating shift work for past 27 years. I see my Dr. every 6 months for regular check ups. I've had 2 colonoscopies since turning 50. Only meds I take are cholestoral meds which is fine now but my doctor still has me on meds.(they are free now so I don't mind taking them). Stay active. I play golf 1 or 2 times a week during the summer and walk the treadmill occasionally during the winter. I basically quit drinking years ago except for a beer every once in a while. I think just staying active and keeping as healthy as possible will help you age better. Good luck..

this is a depressing thread. I rather talk about what drink you're going into 7-11 to grab after a day on the golf course. haha
