Bad News for Repubs... Over 6 million have signed up for Obamacare

I know people having access to healthcare pisses off the Repubs more than anything but this is just devastating news. Dave is probably going to beat some children up tonight, Russ is jumping in his foxhole with BFL to cry, and Sheriff Joe just crushed his purple flower field and closed his gay dating site account down. This is the kind of news that causes Repubs to flip shit. They hate success!!

[h=2]More than 6 million people have signed up for Obamacare, as a crush of people raced to get health insurance before the March 31 deadline.[/h]

President Obama announced the milestone Thursday in a call with enrollment counselors and outreach volunteers, who are undertaking an intense marketing drive in the final days of open enrollment. There were more than 1.5 million visits to HealthCare.gov and more than 430,000 calls to the call centers on Wednesday.

Those who've started theapplication by next Monday but are unable to finish because of technical issues will receive more time to complete the process, officials have said.

Reaching 6 million is a symbolic victory for the Obama administration following the botched launch in October.

It is short of the initial goal of 7 million, which was based on a projection by the Congressional Budget Office and adopted by the administration. But it shows considerable gains from the first month when just 106,000 people had signed up.

Last month, the CBO revised its projection down to 6 million.

But just how many people fully enroll in the program this year remains to be seen. The latest figures reflect those picking plans, not paying their premiums. Only those who pay their first month's premium are considered enrolled, while those who don't pay have their policy selections canceled.

Insurers have said that the share of people sending in payments is in the 80% range.

AK, dave makes a great point when asking if you actually believe anything Obama says. Why would you? Or anyone else? Look at his track record of deceit and lies. There are websites listing the dozens upon dozens of documents fibs. I am assuming you are a betting man, so don't put any money on this being true.

again you are purposely twisting my words and avoiding the real issue which is that you can tell when Obama is lying by when his lips are moving. If he and/or his administration tells you something, you would be a fool to believe it based on the track record of the last several years.

7,000,000 lost their insurance at years end and now we are told by the biggest liar to ever be in the White House 6,000,000 have signed up for Obamacare if you believe what the WH says. That is 1,000,000 people with out insurance who had it 3/4 months ago, and liberals call that a success?

How many people lost their insurance cause of Obamacare? I think the figure was close to around 5million right?

So 5 million who HAD insurance didnt have it after they got dropped....

And 6million signed up for insurance thru Obamacare....

So we did all this, are causing headaches for many more millions of people, raising costs, adding more red tape, upping premiums and co-pays and way to may other things to list.....

Just to insure 1million people ??!!

So "enrolled" and "Signed Up" are 2 different things.......

Your article also states:

So 80% of 6 million is only 4.8million....

So TECHNICALLY... since 5million had their policies canceled cause of Obamacare, and roughly only 4.8million are actually "enrolled"... that's means that there are now 200,000 people LESS with insurance then when Obamacare started out.

Sorry if math makes to much sense on how this is a failure. So I will break it down.

5,000,000 Lost Insurance (policy canceled due to Obamacare)
4,800,000 Have enrolled in Obamacare
------------
200,000 without insurance

What kind of math calls this a SUCCESS???

Uh, "signed up" is not paid, therefore not enrolled.

Anyway, in no manner, shape or form is this "bad news for Republicans" as the Administration absolutely refuses to release the #'s who have paid for a plan (and as the resident dope you have no interest in that number) nor are these "sign ups" near the targets the Administration set.

In other words, this post is stupid and self refuting.

These numbers are USELESS because they don't disclose how many of these so-called "signups" were previously uninsured and how many are replacing their old coverage because Obamascare booted them off.

Looks like typical fratfraud math to me.

Even the Huffington Compost isn't buying it:
