Just in from last night.

This most current episode was far and away the most ignorant of them all and therefore the most embarrassing to the network.

Absolutely nothing (but one… mentioned below) about this episode made any sense in the real world of sports wagering.

The one part that was reasonable pissed "Steve" off very much. The big player on this episode refused to bet over 5% of the amount Steve was insisting. Great judgment by the player. Stevie Boy was insisting the player bet 20K and the guy just stonewalled him and refused to play more than 1K. Fantastic. As anyone with intelligence more than that of and earthworm would know...... nobody would fall for this 50% commission scam. Not for any length of time even if someone was that stupid in the beginning.

The reasons for the plays continued to be juvenile at best and all plays continued to be favorites (often large favorites) and "overs" on totals.

As pathetic as this show is, I still fear it can be very hurtful to some moronic players and their families. Look at some of the Einsteins on this forum who swear by it. There is no rational by which any of this program is anything but an ignorant cartoon.

By the way….. Steve Stevens admitting his background as a felon must have been inserted after the station was outed and busted over the net for their choice of characters when they failed their first launch back in the summer. I feel pretty sure that the parts about the new baby and his father’s illness are probably far less than truthful. Just a feeling I can’t help but have. Everything about the guy’s real life is a scam.

If this would have been advertised as a comedy it would still be a problem, just because this subject is nothing to joke about. Structuring the commercials (marketing) of the show in an attempt at realism is just totally sick.

Now that I think about it…. These guys at CNBC may be marketing wizards. Since 99+% of all players have never made the effort or had the balls to make a real serious play….. these big money type falsifications could produce lots of curiosity (audience)?????

What is really sickening is all this show is doing is lining the pockets of this scammer. Stupid people are everywhere and they are watching this and then just giving this guy money.

I knew he was an idiot but the real tell was when he questioned the tbay coach for kicking a fg down 11 instead of going for td. Of course you kick to get within 8....stevens couldnt understand that simple fact. He's a scamming favorite and over mush bettor.

Absolute idiotic comment by him. The show is a bit amusing because it's such bullshit but the fools out there will fall for it. Hell, just look at this service forum at this site.....people fall for these guys all the time.

Well put vitterd. Or, as I like to say..... Balls on accurate!!

Also, unfortunately, Justo thinks this show is funny. If you wonder why, read the last short paragraph of my original post!

I find humor in it because of the ridiculous nature of the show. However, you are correct, this could be very damaging to the novice gambler. It is comical to listen to his reasoning behind his bets. It was something like "they had a bad defense all year"....it is comical in the sense that it is so pathetic.

I've only seen about 15 minutes of the episode when he bets $10k along with the player on the Dodgers 14 inning game.

He lost so I didn't get to see but how does this comm work?

if he goes 1-1 and I lose juice I also have to pay him 50%? Or does he look at the potential winnings for a month/year and then take comm off of that?

we should all be thanking this guy for his show. If he is as bad and misleading as everyone says, he may open up avenues for a huge influx of sportsbettors like how moneymaker did for poker.

if we have a bunch of ppl donating money to sportsbooks (online and brick/mortar) then we won't have them going under as often, bonuses might get good again, and this site will start rockin' like the old days!

Nobody could possibly profit from this, but the tout! There are thieves out there who actually try to sell this.

Showing this guy going 3-0 based on his demonstrated lack of expertise.... very dangerous to novice betters as stated by vitterd earlier.

And shdw01, if you are saying drawing more lambs to the slaughter might prolong your ability to maybe get paid sometime when otherwise you would not..... That’s one way to look at it, I guess.

FWIW, I know quite a few who hired a tout early on into their gambling careers, got taken for some money and learned that isn't the way to go. They don't use touts anymore but still gamble. What I'm trying to say it drawing lambs to get slaughtered isn't always just a temporary influx of bettors, it could potentially introduce a lot of long-term gamblers to the industry. Which I think is a good thing

I don't believe that many "long term" gamblers exist. Not long term and betting with enough size to matter a damn. Anyone trying to play with meaningful money will soon have their nuts crushed and become road kill.

Sports gambling has the normal negative expectation of all gambling because of the juice. In addition it has so many other problems impossible for hardly anyone to overcome. This is because the linesmakers are so vastly more experienced and smarter than the players.
