Not into the golf thing that much here as my love is tennis. But my question is, is it better for you watching the Masters this year without Tiger or do you wish he was in the field.

tough ? i don't like tiger so its nice to watch w/o him but on the other hand i think its more likely to have more drama when he's in the field seeing how sunday plays out if he is close to the lead or leading but when he's playing i root for him to lose haha

To be honest, I miss him a little bit despite not caring for the guy. But I only miss him when he's playing well. With the form he was in for his last few tournaments, I don't miss him. We would have seen at least a couple needless television hours of Tiger trying to make the cut, instead of focusing on the other players.

Never been a Tiger fan, but golf is better with Tiger. It's not even close.

Cant disagree more. When Tigger is in the field, youre gonna watch him no mater how far out of the lead he is, id much rather watch the leaders or those close to the lead. There are so many great players, the tournament doesnt miss Tigger

Trouble is, when it's not Tiger it's Phil. And he got WAY too much coverage for a golfer who was pretty much out of it from the get go. And not nearly enough coverage on Bubba Watson, who has a more recent Masters win than Tits.

I would be watching no matter who is playing... Tiger most likely would have been already out of it anyway...

I can do the masters without tiger... the tourney is so historic and so much tradition IMO it is the only tourney bigger than tiger himself.

when we get to the open championship or pga championship I think it will hurt without him in the field

Tiger is the only reason why golf is even still considered a sport. I don't know how many people really remember when Tiger first came around as was kind of a big deal back in the mid '90's but golf as we know it today is contributed in large part to Tiger. No doubt about it. His name is the staple of golf AND as much as people want him to fade away right now...he won't. Still considerably young for an old rich man's sport and I'd venture to guess he will find his groove agan and win.

Golf owes alot to Tiger but right now Tiger owes alot back to Golf.

True golf fans don't even notice… the casual fan who only watches majors may have an issue

As someone who watches a lot of golf, I have to disagree. I don't think any sport is better without their best. The NBA wouldn't die without LeBron, but it certainly wouldn't be as good.

On another note, what Jordan Spieth has done is remarkable.

All I know is today is going to be a fun day of watching golf - There is 12 guys with a shot at this - if one of those -1 plays players shoots 67-68 it will put pressure on the leaders coming home

-5 should win

Let's go Kuch

1.Golf - US Masters April 10 - 13, 2014
Odds to win
Odds to win the US Masters
Matt Kuchar (+1815) [pending]

</tbody>

Have him and Poulter to finish in the top ten - my other three guys are dead in the water but if those two can do I have a profitable tourney.

As for Tiger - Don't like the guy - could care less if he was there.

I said earlier this week that the TV ratings are going to suffer without Tiger. ESPN's ratings have dropped significantly without him. I love to watch golf no matter who is playing. But golf purists have to admit that the game just isn't the same without Tiger. It is a sport that relies more on one individual than any other sport. If Nicklaus or Palmer were playing today, it would be the same if they weren't playing. The proof is in the pudding. ESPN's ratings are down nearly a million viewers. That is a lot for a golf telecast. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/04/espn-masters-ratings-tiger-woods/
