1-1 Tuesday, pretty much a wash. Now 13-15, -1.29

Chicago WS +134. One unit. The White Sox are not going to sustain this, but right now they are the better team. Boston hasn't hit lately, or much at all this year. Pedroia may play, but is not 100%, and wasn't hitting very well anyways. They made Erik Johnson look like a stud Tuesday, when really Johnson was struggling badly all spring and in his 1st 2 starts. Bucholz has also looked disappointing. He looked better vs. the Yankees last start, but did not look like his old self. Bucholz is a bit of a head case anyways, and I'm not sure he can handle this hot hitting White sox team at home. Chicago actually believes they are a very good team right now and leads the majors in runs scored. Danks has been very solid and no one on the Red Sox has had much career success against him.

Washington +135. ML. One unit. Roark might actually have better command than Strasburg right now. Strasburg has great stuff, but Tuesday he threw like a rookie again- relying on his great stuff more than his command, and the Marlins crushed him. But… the Marlins are susceptible to good pitching and don't think they'll repeat Tuesday's performance again. Roark has 2 plus pitches, excellent command, and is supported by a good hitting attack and a decent BP. Jose Fernanadez was so good last year that there is no value playing him(as a bet) considering he is on the Marlins. I know Miami has hit well so far this year, but this team is loaded with youth, and they have letdown games aplenty. Fernandez now has multiple scouting reports and video, and the Nats have seen him before- although not much. Washington often rebounds well from a bad loss.

Baltimore -105. ML. One unit. Miguel Gonzalez is a much better pitcher than he's shown so far. His last outing was an improvement on his first, and I expect that this one will also improve. He has a wide array of pitches and has pitched well at home in the past. The Rays have also been slumping of late which helps. Odorizzi is coming off flu like symptoms Tuesday, and might still be under the weather. Odorizzi also has average stuff, is still struggling with command and faces an Orioles team that is finally showing some life with the bat. The Orioles are almost always competitive at home, and play each game as Buck Showalter expects- with passion.
