Boston-1 (-108) One unit. The Red Sox are NOT back. They still look like a mediocre club at this time. But I can't see them losing this game on Patriot's Day considering the emotional aspect of the Marathon bombing and how much the players and fans responded to it's aftermath. Bucholz might finally be his old self based on his last start and his improvement in each successive start. Boston has also ripped up Chen over the past 2 years, including 10 hits off of him 2 weeks ago. Boston has the BP edge.
Oakland +132. ML. One unit. A team streaking like this should not be this big of an underdog. Darvish has a habit of working up his pitch count early in games, walking batters, and occasionally serving some hittable pitches. His stuff is excellent, but Strally also has looked very good going back to last year- except his last start with LA- a team that was getting hot at the time. The A's bullpen can finish this game if they get the lead.
SD +107. ML. One unit. Cashner gets major respect with this line, being that SD is on the road vs. a good Milwaukee team. But Cashner is pitching in that dominant way that makes him very tough. His command is much better, his sinking fastball induces many ground balls, and he has a great BP behind him. Wily Peralta has also pitched well, but I doubt that it continues. Peralta struggled more at home last year, and is much more likely to give up a long ball than Cashner. The Padres are showing some life, and they can get strangely hot while on the road sometimes.
