I am new to this forum and couldn't find anything for betting advisors and sport handicappers that sell their services.
Are they legit? Can someone with experience tell mea good source for paid tips?

Not really tricks.

Just flat out fill you with false promises. Most far overstate their win percentages. A very few may be able to win 54 - 57%, but if don't play very large, then you can't possibly come out a winner. With fees for picks and the juice both working against you.... pretty much screwed big-time.

Guys like Steve Stevens on TV will kill you without a doubt. Many of the touts are absolute thieves.

My advice would be to learn how to make your own selections. With all the information on the internet anyone serious about wanting to learn the gaming business and win can do just as well as any pay service. Takes a little time and practice but hell, you can flip a coin and do as well as the majority of the so-called pay experts.

The Sports Monitor of Oklahoma City documents pay services. They have been around a long time and offer their services to pro-cappers for a fee.

YOU CAN GET JUST AS GOOD OR BETTER RESULT FROM GUYS HERE AT THE RX FOR FREE....why would you want to pay for picks?

so, www.s is not going to make any profit?
that is a scam. if it sounds to good to be true......
i do this for a living, but i lost my ass when i was young because i fell for every con artists scam you could think of. these places are boiler room operations and have nobody who can handicap. they will give out both sides of the same game and keep track of who got what pick.

if you know sports, you need to learn to make your own picks. it takes a while, but while you are learning you should track guys on this forum who have no profit motive other than they bet their picks. they have no reason or way of deceiving you. most are a million times better than a paid tout. sometimes when i am struggling, i seek out what certain guys are playing and then decide what to do. i would never pay a service for picks. be careful with paying for picks.

Not making any judgements on quality of services. However, i will state that no matter the service
they are unable to accept criticism or feedback. Promises are broken, i.e. Guaranteed play then fail
to follow through. I don't have an answer. Handicapping is not for everyone. Time may be a factor.
Laziness another. So, what to do???? My suggestion would be not to gamble your money. Locals and
offshore places haven't existed since the beginning of time because customers win.

There are definitely some 'services' that will provide you ~54%+ winners. But that is maybe 1 or 2 out of 10,000.

In my experience (i've paid 4 people before, different prices), I've had 1 person who actually provided me winners like he said he would. I still use him to this date along with my own picks. However, more than 99% of the time they are scammers no better at gambling than you are.

I went through a phase of several years where I thought a consensus of the handicappers picks - weighted for their star selections - would be the surest way of finding the best picks. The reasoning seemed unassailable. If the majority of guys who were making a living by researching, crunching the numbers and looking at all the factors in a games outcome chose one side, that would mean that there was a compelling case to be made for that selection. They would back up their picks with lengthy write-ups pointing out home/road ats records, injury or match-up problems, momentum or historical data that seemed so convincing. That turned out to be a losing proposition. It became clear after years that the vast majority of these "handicappers" didn't make a living analyzing games, but found there was more to be made in "selling picks". That is why many of the more experienced refer to them as "scamdicappers". There are some legitimate guys out there, but they are few and far between. You're better off studying every aspect of the game and developing your own approach. Their are some good knowledgeable people on this site. Just read their posts and learn from the ones that put forth solid reasoning behind their picks. Good luck.

Yup. If you do some relatively quick browsing of these forums, you can find out which guys are good in which sports and follow their plays if you want to just have a play provided to you.

I'm definitely still trying to learn how to look at sports from a bettor's perspective and how to handicap. I tried to just jump in to making picks based on my knowledge of sports like football and basketball, but quickly learned that knowing about a sport isn't the same as knowing how to bet on it. Being able to read posts on forums like this and compare picks and analysis with your own work is much better than paying some tout for what are, in all likelihood, coinflip plays.

Plus, when you're just starting out, you probably aren't betting $100, $500, $1,000 on a game. If you're only making $5, $10, $25 bets, the value of paying for picks (even if they do win) isn't there.

I don't think it's really worth it. No one can promise what is going to happen in the future, but that doesn't stop most of these services from doing just that. To the extent that any are legitimate, they would be the ones that have a long track record of profitable years and make all their picks public. Guys who say they guarantee you winners and claim success rates of 60%+, who don't have all their picks available are usually full of s***.

I agree with some of the other posters in this forum, read through the various forums on this site and you'll start to pick up on how the good bettors think and hopefully learn enough to make knowledgable picks on your own.

check out Exclusive VIP sports... Edward Pearson.. He documents everything. Usually almost always positive.

Also, there's another handicapper that is VERY expensive, but proven to be pretty damn legit... TheVIPPicks.com or something like that.. I've been thinking about trying them out but will rather group buy and try.....

Mr. Barry Dingle (with all 5 posts) hanging shit for a service. WONDER WHY? Surely like OBAMA'S lying ass he has no intentions other than to "Help" you the player/poster here at theRX. You deserve and need this services assistance.

There are better passive income sources out there for one. Secondly, selling "snake oil" easy problem solving services to people by saying it does the thinking for them is the oldest scam in the book....I mean some systems do work, but most of the time it's just some dude who is mediocre at best, doing an "advice service" because it's easier and surer money than actually betting.

You are right that there's A LOT of these services out there, but I don't think it's that hard to figure it out and have a set of criteria for their offers. You can EASILY tell when something is a scam based on what they say, how they pitch their promise OR easiest of all by how their site looks, lol. The real deal dudes DO exist as others have pointed out, but they are so rare you end up drowning in crap before finding them. Try to look for anything with a kind of guarantee to it, such as getting good picks for free and only paying for extra, money back clause or that they have been doing it for a LONG time, and on the same site no less. And you get 2/3 of that right here on this forum for FREE!
