Yesterday, I had a 7 team parlay of:
Bos ML
KC-1.5
LAA ML
Mil-1.5
Oak-1.5
SF-1.5
ATL-1.5

Stake 100
Multiplier 289.35
Potential profit: 28,835.40

Lo and behold, ATL yanked Santana a little too late, as he coughed up a 5-0 advantage to win by only 1 run. I lost my parlay by .5

Today, i placed another 5 teamer:
TB ML
Mil-1.5
LAD-1.5
Phi ML
NYM ML

Stake 100
Multiplier 32.77
Potential profit 3,177.23

Again, another lead (this time 5-1) coughed up by a usually reliable starter to lose in extra innings.

Fuck my luck. Should be up around 32k+, instead lost 200.

Wow, tough breaks there. Eventually the bullpens will get you. Ever consider playing TT's in parlays?

TTs are harder to predict than winning margin, IMO. If only my book allowed 1st 5 innings in parlays...

I had a similar situation with the Mets too... Bastards.

Glad to know someone feels the same way. The mets are stupid. Even the stats show Jenrry usually has a hard time 3rd time through the order, and yet they allowed him to be hammered. The homer IMO was acceptable because the pitcher made a good pitch and the hitter that hit it isn't named Stanton, he managing, on the other hand, was not.

Why don't you bet each team individually as well as the parlay and get a small profit? Looks like you know your bases..

tough losses

I hate laying -1.5, even more so on home teams

I think I lose just about all of them in the past, and like never do it nowadays

I apply the same principle in baseball and in basketball: bet around 1 or 2 units in 1 or 2 teams that have the highest probability of winning IMO, then bet .5 or 1 unit of parlay.

I end up having a good day (winning a little less than 1 unit), but of course it still would be better if the parlay hit.

Parlays: less money risked for a higher profit.

Thanks for your suggestion though (thumbsup)

Laying 1.5 increases juice. I only do it in games that I think is lopsided. As my results have shown, those are the right decisions, but horrible managing/bullpens ruin them.

Bad luck continues. Wagered LAA ML 1st 5 innings.LAA with bases loaded and 1 out in the 4th, only score once. NYY scores once with and RBI groundout for 2 outs in th bottom of the 5th, then to add insult to injury, Freese homers on the 1st pitch he sees to start the 6th. Wow.

"Snakebite" and "bad beat" are terms that cannot logically be applied to the actions of children with no understanding of sports betting.

There is a reason why parlays pay as well as they do. (In the event you hit one) A legit bookie or sportsbook will be happy to pick you up any time you need a ride. Also, the question about betting straight bets. The difference is.

1) Small bankroll because a child and not a serious player.

2) Like the difference between cash poker and tournaments. No confidence to risk much money, so crazy high risk to win big is appealing. Boils down to little kids playing with their keyboard.

Bankroll size has no bearing on wagering. A small bankroll to you may be a large one to someone else.

Your poker analogy is poor and incorrect.

I feel sure you understood this post, Biz. It is balls-on accurate and applies to many on this site.

And, sorry you could not understand my second post.

I know. Did you read one of my other posts? I play parlays just for the chance of winning big, but I also play single bets.

So I guess my bad luck just continued.

6 teamer of
STL-1.5
Det-1.5
LAA-1.5
LAD-1.5
KC ML

and.....

Tex ML

Fuck you Jesse Chavez. I'm really unlucky today. Had Toronto-3.5 in NBA as well, and they still managed to cover despite trailing by 22 at the start of the 4th. :|
