Should baseball change it's scoring system?

Getting to base = 1 pt.

Getting that man to home gives you a 5 points.

You are essentially rewarding the team for getting on base rather than just getting that man home. You could see scores of 34-15 or something crazy like that.

Agree...love baseball but it gets boring. I would go with fewer innings...owners will never go for fewer games.
