Ben Affleck wasn’t counting on this.
Hard Rock Las Vegas officials aren’t bluffing as they have banned the forthcoming “Batman” star for life from playing blackjack at the casino after he was caught counting cards, a source close to Affleck told the Daily News.
“You are too good,” a security guard told the Oscar-winning star Monday night at the casino’s high-rollers’ blackjack table, the source said.
Translation: no more blackjack for Affleck. However, he’s welcome to try his hand at other games at the Hard Rock.
Affleck and actress wife Jennifer Garner were in Sin City for a romantic getaway before Affleck starts filming his “Batman” reboot in Los Angeles and Detroit.
Casino management ordered a car to take the Hollywood hunk, 41, and Garner, 42, back to their hotel, the source added.
“The hotel was really nice to him,” according to the source.

Card counting isn’t illegal — but is frowned upon by every casino. The betting tactic involves adding card values to decide when — and when not — to place big wagers.
Back in 2001, Affleck raked in $800,000 playing blackjack at — where else — the Hard Rock in Vegas.
Witnesses saw a then-29-year-old Affleck drop $150,000 in tips to dealers and waitresses in the high-rollers’ Peacock Lounge.
The silver screen veteran starred in a 2013 movie, “Runner Runner,” about cheating at online poker.
The Hard Rock did not immediately reply to a Daily News request for comment.

Jennifer Lopez put the clamps down on Affleck for tipping so much at the Hard Rock. Dealers hated her.

Every table has programs reviewing your play... they know every mutherfkr that's counting and to what degree they r a counter. I think the rule is give em some rope let em play... but come back to beat us a 2nd time and you'll get bounced

They shiuld of just not allowed him to play single deck... and make him play double deck or triple

Double deck has a huge edge when counting.

the casinos don't bar most counters as many counters are still losers at blackjack.
they do bar/discourage good card counters. usually when it's a big weekend last
last weekend (ky derby AND the big fight), casinos are overwhelmed to the point
that most card counters aren't noticed or have issues. ben was either very unlucky
to be noticed or way too obvious.
