My Buddy's dad is selling his 1998 Harley because his knees are going bad and really cant ride it anymore as it has 13000 miles on it and he took very good care of his bike and would sell it to me for $1500.My questions are as Im not a bike expert by any means is what should I look for on the bike that might be going as the bike is 16 years old and my other question would be as I rode dirt bikes when I was young but that has been a long time ago is if I do buy this bike where can I go to get lessons on how to ride it.Any help on this would be a great and thxs in advance for any help on this matter.

Sounds like a sweet deal, I used to ride dirt bikes as well and craving for a chopper now. The price sounds right, I would prob buy it! But I'm no expert in anyway, $1500 just seems right.

Can't go wrong with the price. I take it that it is ready to ride?

Never really heard of a place for lessons. Empty parking lots and street with no cars work great.

Rule #1 - Don't buy or ride a motorcycle unless you plan to lay it down at least once. It happens. If you're scared of that, then pass on the deal.

True. Guess I don't consider it as that. It's in a parking lot like I suggested with lines marked etc. It's not like someone can walk or ride beside you and instruct. You either got it or you don't...
