</section>TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) - Coach Jimbo Fisher says Florida State's Jameis Winston has committed no crime and is adamant the quarterback will not miss any games this season due to an ongoing sexual assault investigation.
Fisher said Monday recent reports about the investigation haven't revealed any new facts.
Fisher says, "The facts are the facts. .. There is no victim because there was no crime."
Florida State announced last week it will use an independent official in the student code of conduct hearing. No hearing date has been set.
A female student said Winston sexually assaulted her in December 2012. Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs declined to press charges against Winston last December due to inconsistencies and flaws in the evidence.
Florida State fell to No. 2 after an 18-point win against Syracuse Saturday.

A North Tampa landmark was getting a bit of national attention Sunday morning when the website TMZ Sports posted a story announcing that Skipper’s Smokehouse was offering to “hook up” Jameis Winston with free crab legs should the Tampa Bay Buccaneers pick him in the upcoming NFL draft.

“Yes, it’s for real,” Cricket Larson, spokesperson for Skipper’s, said by phone. “TMZ contacted us as a joke, but we really will honor it if he wants to come in.”

For as long as Winston is a Buccaneer, he’s welcome to visit the quirky Tampa restaurant and concert venue for free crab legs as much as he wants, Larson said.

In 2014, then-Florida State quarterback Winston was issued a civil citation in for shoplifting crab legs from a Tallahassee Publix. Winston said later that the crab legs were given to him by an employee.

“We are aware that there have been some off the field incidents and allegations against (Winston) that the Skipper’s Smokehouse ownership, staff and management do not condone,” the restaurant said in a statement. “But we do think with the support of the Tampa Bay community and folks like Derrick Brooks, Jameis can grow into a good asset for our team.”

Skipper’s opened 34 years ago and is owned by FSU alumnus Tom White.
