Not really, marihuana trafficking doesn't really involve that much violence here or in most of the world by that matter... morphine is not a popular drug any any means down here. If it was cocaine, different story, you start dealing yeyo you better ride locked and loaded.

I guess it depends where, right? Selling marijuana in Limon will probably get you killed pretty quick. These guys got busted in Ciudad Colon. Maybe they were catering to the gringos west of San Jose? Agreed about the morphine, in ampoules none the less. I'm no morphine expert, so why would somebody have ampoules of morphine? What is the local commercial value to this or is it for export? Hopefully we hear more about this story, seems like some interesting news for once.

Maybe stolen from a hospital? Or bought from a corrupt MD... I know for a fact that they give these to very ill cancer patients and maybe other illnesses... there is a very little market for heroin here (not popular by any means but I know there are some people dabbling with it) so maybe selling the morphine as a substitute for a cheaper price.

Most likely west SJ market yes. Anyone can deal in SJ. It depends of course how you do it... you cant just post yourself in any corner or any neighborhood but if you have stoner friends that's already a customer base to start working with and keep it discrete.

Morphine was a popular drug among a fringe group of people who worked in Sportsbooks.
