Since firing him on 11/30/09, Notre Dame has paid Charlie Weis $9,787.95 PER DAY to not coach, according to tax returns.

Wow, unreal. People running ND are probably the same people that helped negotiate the BJ Upton contract on behalf of ATL.

I will never understand guaranteed contracts. They benefit no one besides the coach/ athlete. If he succeeded there and wanted to leave for more $$ he could or fail and still get that $$ plus another job. It is unthinkable how anyone in the real world gets that. Imagine you are in sales and would say "you owe me 450K over the next 3 years" No instead, you have to sign "non compete" clauses and all of that crap. Basically, you can be fired at will and not even allowed back in your profession. Get no guaranteed $$. Do that do an Undrafted rookie Running back. We can cut you, do not owe you any money except maybe unemployment and by the way, you can not sign with any other team in the NFL.

Fat people are a detriment to society. Look at the costs of their medications and disability (for being fat). "I am disabled, I am 380 pounds and have osteoarthritis". No, you are fat and a drain on the economy.

In fairness though, paying Weis NOT to coach ND is a better idea than paying him to keep coaching there. Still, it's all kind of comical. How bad do I have to be to get my employer to pay me millions to fire me and then millions more to stay fired?
