Mark Cuban: 'I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways'

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is known for bold statements, and he made a few Wednesday at a conference in Nashville on the topic of banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling.

"I know I'm prejudiced, and I know I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways," Cuban said in an interview shown at the annual GrowCo convention hosted by Inc. magazine, according to the Tennessean.

"If I see a black kid in a hoodie on my side of the street, I'll move to the other side of the street. If I see a white guy with a shaved head and tattoos (on the side he now is on), I'll move back to the other side of the street. None of us have pure thoughts; we all live in glass houses."

Todays society is ridiculous. The absolute worst swear word one can say to another if you are white is "racist". It isnt the known 4 letter words and calling ones mom a slut bitch anymore. Even look at a place like this forum, what is the one thing that will get someone banned the fastest? All you would have to say is the "n word" yet you could post "white trash" daily and be OK.

I love how Steven A Smith can easily get away with saying something like "that white boy got game; he can play" when referring to Kevin Love and it isn't even remotely newsworthy. But woody Paige says something like "he is good especially for a black qb" and would be fired 20 minutes later.

I'm certain both of them have zero prejudices. None at all.

The sanctimony is laughable.

Humans have thousands of years of evolutionary hard wiring regarding this stuff (you know, science) and all these moron commentators think you can "evolve" and fight it.

Another thing that drives me crazy is how people in 2014 just assume they are more intelligent than their ancestors of 100 years ago. Why? Because you can know the 100 types of venomous snakes within 5 minutes with google and have a smart phone? Those aren't even necessities. You often hear "it is 2014, how can people be so ignorant" Yet the ignorant ancestors are the ones that came up with the real inventions like construction, the automobile, engineering, manufacturing, etc. If facebook never existed, it would have no impact on human life.

I hate racism so much....and I admit it is more strict on white people.....but with slavery in our history books I guess it is justified.

If Cuban was black, he would feel the same way I bet. So would most black people my guess is. My question is why bother even saying it publicly? For a rich guy he ain't too bright sometimes.

He's incredibly bright. These comments are simply in line with his slippery slope comments.

That happened when? 160 years ago? People 4 to 5 generations later are bitching especially when welfare and unemployment benefits are at a typical peak? And my favorite, food stamps. They need 22 votes out of 29 to force Sterling to sell Clippers. Sterling & Co will file divorce the following day, the case is no longer in NBA hand as the state will take over. They will drag it out as long as they possibly could. The whole thing is a mess.

Cuban loves to hear himself talk. But his argument starts falling apart like a dollar watch when you look at Sterling's overall record of bad misconduct. Sterling is like the criminal who has gotten away with murder for many years, but ends up getting got and put away for life for stealing a candy bar....
