2-0, + 5 units Sunday Now at 5-6, +.19 units this week since returning to the RX.
Toronto -1 (-105) 2 units. The vibes are just so good in Toronto. Imagine sweeping the vaunted A's, being in 1st place, playing at home in front of a nice sized Memorial Day crowd- and your ace is on the mound. Not Dickey, Hutchison. Hutchison has made a miraculous return from Tommy John surgery, pitching better now than before. He also understands better "how" to pitch. The Jays have a power lineup, but more important is how well the bottom of the lineup is hitting. In the past, the Jays would either hit a HR, with maybe someone on base, in the top 5 of their lineup. Now they're dangerous 1-9, with hitters taking the BBs and singles needed to really win. Also, I think Bedard is simply a mercenary who even the Astros wouldn't resign. He will fade as he always does. Hoping it starts tomorrow. The Rays are lucky to have played the even more woeful Red Sox, but really this team lacks punch, and the bullpen is not what it used to be.
St. Louis -1 (-113) One unit. Couldn't lay off a hot Cardinal team at home on a holiday, with Wacha on the mound. The Yankees will also bring a big crowd. Wacha has never faced the Yanks, and will also be juiced. Whitley's 1.00 ERA is about to rise. He is a fairly average minor leaguer that has pitched over his head. He also only pitches about 4-5 innings, giving the Yankee BP a chance to lose this game. The Yankee defense is not too good, they're old and they, along with Boston, are fading.
