Oklahoma State freshman running back Devon Thomas was arrested on felony charges of armed robbery and shooting with intent to kill, according to the Tulsa World.

The alleged victim told police he was confronted by Thomas and three other suspects at gunpoint in Broken Arrow, Okla., at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday. The suspects stole his marijuana, money, shoes and clothing before ordering him to leave the area.

According to police, as the victim left in his vehicle, one of the suspects shot through the vehicle's rear windshield. The bullet grazed the driver's side headrest and barely missed the victim.

Thomas and the other suspects were arrested Wednesday. Thomas denied he had a firearm in his possession or fired any shots during the alleged robbery. He was being held in a Tulsa jail as of Friday morning on a $125,000 bond.

Oklahoma State has not commented on Thomas' arrest.

Thomas is one of the Cowboys' top recruits from this year's class. He was ranked by 247Sports.com as a top 250 player nationally and a top 15 running back. He was expected to compete for playing time this fall.
