2-3, - about 3.5 units. I guess the dropping line on the Cards told me that sharp guys knew Ventura was fine. That the Cards had never seen him, and he could keep his team in it until the bullpen came in. The Royals BP is one of the best.

Texas -1 (-125) 2 units. Darvish has been incredible, even better than Tanaka and King Felix. He has reduced his walks from earlier/ last year and has only yielded 3 HRs this year. His command is better, and is getting more 1st pitch strikes- instead of nibbling. Darvish, in his last 4 starts, has only given up 2 runs to the red hot Jays, and 2 to the Tigers(before their hitting went south). 31.2 IPs, 4 ERs. It is really hard in the DH lineup AL to have a 2.08 ERA this far into the season. Now the Indians have won 6 in a row. But that has been against some iffy pitching of the Red Sox(poor starters) and the terrible pitching of the Rockies(no BP). The Indians have not seen Darvish very much and that will make it extra challenging. They also are dead last in fielding in the mlb, which can't make Bauer a better pitcher. The Indians have far too many fielders in the bottom 1/4 of the mlb at their position. Bauer has command issues, but for the most part, it's hard to say how he'll do. More promise, right now, than production.

SD/ Wash. Under 6.5(-105). One unit. Seems like every opener in these West Coast games are low scoring. Roark has a very good ground ball rate, and can even make batters whiff. Ross has been SD's best Starter so far. I'm not convinced the Nats are really going to bust out offensively. Beating up on the Phils' pitching, and a couple of lousy Texas starters may not be similar to the pitching they'll see now on this road trip. Both have good to excellent BPs.

Minnesota ML -113. Two units. Seems like a bargain deal to me. Minnesota is finally playing well, hitting improved, only 4.5 game out of 1st, and they have hope. For the first time this year. Hughes and Keuchel are the aces of their squads. Unbelievable, huh? Hughes and Keuchel last year were semi-train wrecks. The Twins seem invigorated, and the Astros seem annoyed at front office mgt. and knowing their out of contention already(no surprise there). The Twins were a once proud franchise, managed well, and this is the first hope they've had in a long time. "Give the fans something to cheer about", the players have to be saying.

Texas -1/2 (-120) First 5. 2 units. This is a very good line if you think Darvish will out pitch Bauer in the first 5.
