ive been looking at them for a bit and one of my friends sells them know, you wear the wrap for like 45 mins min, not sure max, and you do 4 wraps, each one 3 days apart, suppose to help you lose weight and tighten bully or thighs etc. she told me she has lost 23 lbs and several inches since she started doing it. wondering if this would help me look better bathing suit wise after dropping about 80 lbs....

see im wondering if you are actively working out and having a decent diet if it would be more permanent then those who just use it as a quick fix with no other life changes

if that is the real purpose of them, I never knew that... I've heard about them for a couple years...

if you use them, let us know how they work...

I think im going to, im down about 80 lbs now, but my stomach just looks a little rough from the weight drop, so if this could shrink n tighten, id be happy. im just wondering if the results disappear whether you are active or not....

save your money. Body wraps just flush out water and it'll return. There is nothing that tightens the skin, nothing. The best you can do is give it time and hope your skin has enough elasticity to bounce back if not, it'll remain loose. You can try to fill loose skin with muscle but in the case of the stomach... there is only so thick you can make your abs so you either look at surgery to remove the skin, hope it bounces back which it will to some degree with time and then live with it. I've got a friend at the gym who was skinny his entire life, hit about 35 got divorced got fat for a couple years, sloppy fat, and then got his shit together again but the damage was done and his skin elasticity was crap he has loose skin on his lower abs, he's become a gym freak he was on stage competing at about 3-4% bodyfat just 2 weekends ago and even ripped he's got some loose skin that remains, and he's about 42 now, so it's not tightening up anymore, he's going to have it cut out eventually. On the flipside, I've seen guys who have been fat for years, get fit and think they have loose skin only to find they're still holding higher bf than they think and once they get to single digits it tightens up. If it's real loose skin however then your options do become limited.

I don't know anyone who uses one. I would imagine they work by dehydrating you. So any weight lost is water and nothing sustainable.

You can't spot lose fat. They 100% do not work.
To lose the extra fat you are going to have to learn your tdee and have a calorie reduction below your your tdee.

This is going to require you to count your calories.
If you want to look exceptional you are going to have to do some things most people are not willing to do.

"It's all pseudoscientific gobbledygook," said Dr. Victor Herbert, a doctor at Mt. Sinai Veterans Research Center who is also on the board of Quackwatch, an organization that debunks false medical claims. He says any weight loss that results from getting a body wrap is temporary, because it is water loss

Kidman. I told you this before. Where you are right now I was there one time.

To get to the point you are at right now all it takes is hard work and determination.

And you have done a damn fine job of that and you should be commended.

But right now you are entering phase 2.

You got a taste of being in good shape but now you want more.
Thats a good thing.

But eventually you are going to get tired of being average.
Right now you are stil satisfied because average is much better then what you have been use to for years which was way below average.

The problem is to get to the next level that you are eventually going to want to get to is going to require a lot more then just hard work and determination.

You are going to have to become knowledgable about eating and working out way beyond what it took you to get you from where you went from to where you are now.

The problem is when most people get to the point you're at now they keep doing what they have been doing that got them from point A to point B. But what you have to do now is go from B to C which requires a completely different strategy.

This is where I fucked up and most other people fuck up.

They hit this plateau that they can't get out off no matter what they do. Then they start trying gimmicks or blaming there genetics when they can't get to where they want to be.

Its a shame I had to learn this the hard way.

I had ti do it twice before I figured it all out.

To get from A to B requires hard work and determinaton.
To get from B to C requires hard work and determination and knowledge.

i hate to sound like a know it all but I do know what I'm talking about because I have been there and fine that.

What I am saying is not to discount anything you have done so far. You have done a fine job.
congrats
