1-0 Tuesday, with a push on STl. Giants are losing late although they have base runners all game. They are usually good clutch hitters. If they lose, 1-1, +one unit.

Houston ML (-113). 3 units. This pitching matchup is so much in favor of the Astros. Keuchel has made me a believer. Great command and movement on his pitches. He is the ace of this staff and the D-Backs have only seen him for 13 ABs. Keuchel has only given up 4 HRs this year because he knows how to keep the ball off the plate and down. Brandon McCarthy, not so much. He has given up 12 HRs in just 79 IPs, about1 per 6.5 innings. McCarthy has also been even worse lately, giving up almost 2 hits per inning in his last 3 starts. Now he is in Houston, facing a lineup with a DH. Houston has hit well in the past month, and goes up there with confidence against every pitcher- unlike last year- where they expected to lose. Granted, Arizona has hit well of late, but 3 of those games were vs. the Rockies in Coors in which they scored over 30 runs.

Texas RL (-105) 2 units. A crazy difference between the ML and the RL. The ML is -220. We're talking a 1/2 run difference between Darvish and Jacob Turner, and there's that much better of a line? I'm taking this sucker bet only because Turner has been that bad. A .330 BAA and now he's in Arlington, a hitter's park- with a DH and no pitcher in the lineup. Turner is only there because they have an idiot owner, Lurie, who knows his team is going no where and Turner might as well learn in the majors. He's cheap alternative to signing a veteran. I think Turner's confidence is being crushed, and I can't see how he gets through the Ranger lineup more than once.

Oakland ML +132. 2 units. The A's have cooled down, but they can still hit Jered Weaver. They did the last time they faced him. Weaver is so much less a pitcher due to a severe lack of velocity. He still has good breaking pitches and command, but batters are laying off the soft stuff unless they have to swing. The A's have seen Weaver MANY times and used to be beaten by him consistently- same with Seattle- but both teams are now hitting him well. Milone is a home park pitcher(great splits at home the past 2 years) and has a great BP to back him up. The Angels have BP issues and looking to make a trade. Even though the Angels have the "name" lineup with the stars, I'll take the A's in clutch situations. They know how to win.

Atlanta -1 (-108) 2 units. The Rockies pitching staff looks shellshocked. Maybe that's what pitching in Coors does to a guy. Maybe they just have lousy pitching up and down the roster. Tyler Matzek is the next young pitcher to debut. Bergman was the first, and he did ok, then Butler was next and he got shelled. And now Matzek- all this in about a week. Now Matzek was the highest drafted of the three, but is the least ready to pitch in the majors. No plus breaking pitches, a fastball of 88-91, so-so command(he walks about 4.2 per 9), and has not fared well since starting the year with 2 very good starts. I guess that's why he's the 3rd call up. The Rockies BP- also almost worthless. For some reason, the Braves really like hitting in Coors, even beyond the average team. Going back 2-3 years, they have some lopsided scores there.

Julio Teheran is a young pitcher who gets little notice, but is working on his 2nd strong season with the Braves. He'll need his sinker here and also an occasional strikeout. In his last outing at Coors, he gave up 1 run over 7. Atlanta has a very good BP if you don't count a couple of pitchers last night.

Cleveland ML +106 One unit. Should have taken this last night. I like the Indians in this spot. They have been on fire at the plate, leading the majors in OBP and slugging for the past week. Bauer and Ventura both have command issues, but Bauer has better control over his off speed pitches. Ventura beat me his last time out, but I still think he's got a lot of refining to do before becoming a top of the rotation starter.

I just wanted to point out that the game will be in LA since you mentioned Milones home/road splits.
