Not a pro here.

For the most part I stayed away from the NBA playoffs this year, probably only bet 5 games total.

Absolutely killing it in baseball so far. My discipline is at all time high and that's definitely part of it. I've worked really hard at it for the past three seasons, each showing a steady improvement so it feels great to finally be able to make a consistent profit on it. Each lesson along the way has been an expensive one.

Unfortunately for me, beyond baseball there currently is no other sport I can beat in the long run.

do you have plans to move into pro status or will you just keep MLB as a hobby/extra $

I spent the last 3 years off and on attempting to hone my skill and DISCIPLINE,,, so I could become a pro,,, its tough,,, but this football season should be alot more fun,,

always found it difficult to come up with a system for betting NFL. It is beatable for sure, but with all the games being basically played one day a week, i feel like you have to increase unit size so much it becomes too risky. Baseball on the other hand is played every single day over such a long period of time that it is set up perfectly for a sports gambler to take a steady, consistent, manageable approach. That's my experience at least.

If your smart enough to go pro outside of Vegas betting sports that means you are smart enough to make much more money doing something else in life that makes much more money.

agree.

I really don't see how it would be possible to go pro betting only offshore. Unless maybe you lived in poverty making 20k a year using a few different books and had some supplemented income from the government. Even that would be hard to sustain for more than three years based on the limited options available to usa players

I don't consider it a Pro when it's not your main source of income. You lose, it affects your financial status, but you still rely on your main source of income (cutting hair right?). You win, it's just an added bonus.

one of the things that I have as an advantage in life(if you can call it that) my finger is on the pulse of EVERY FISCAL WORK LEVEL,, and believe me as a hairstylist I make more than most doctors,,, the problem is this, as I am 1 of the best colorists in the world, my life in this industry is finite due to how big I am, back shoulders hands,,, my body wasent made to do this work for 40 years

my point is,,, there is nothing out there for me that I have the same potential for $$

I couldnt agree more,,, as I am still doing hair,,, (coloring and cutting) but I cut my hours down from 40ish to 30ish,,, and come this august I will cut it to 20ish,, but effectively more to your question I made more this nba in 2 months than I did with hair??<< soooo

This transition will take 2 years for me to do it the right way, and pass the majority of my clients to others,,, my goal is to turn my hair carrear into a hobby,,, for 2 days a week,,, thurs and with a couple hours on sat,,

Awesome. No way in hell I would do it, but I wish you the best of luck! One bad season could send you back to working, and then you spend twice as long gaining great clientele back, if you ever do...

this is the risk matt,,, but as I am making money at this point I am not taking anything to spend,,, 95% of all handicapped money gets returned/reinvested, it will take me 2-3 years at this pace to crack the ceiling of what I feel comfortable as safe base where I could weather several bad sessions relying on my bank to sustain my way of life,,,

part of this construct is also living debt free, -0- debt,,, its pretty easy to sustain a dam good lifestyle in that fiscal scenario,,,

plus my fiance has big JUGS!!! haha and I could live on those for at least a year hahahahah

Great concept! Look forward to seeing you progress. I wish I could be debt free. I will always be under the Financial Aid bubble, unfortunately...To go back in time and do it all over again....I wish. Fuck College, or at least 4 yr Degrees and Masters...

my buddy worked 2 dif sportsbooks as head mgr. and has agreements with several of the current sportsbook mgrs. sooo in laughlin 2-4 is easy,,,
in vegas 2-5 is a cinch at every casino,,, soooo I could go to several dif locations to lay what I need, I am not at that level yet,,,

Sure I could. I've yet to not be up at the end of the year in 17 years so far.

And someone should hand me a check for College. :) I made Dean's List etc and had to pay for all of it out of pocket, while I sat and watch people make C's and get full rides for being a so called minority, being from another Country, or having a baby at a young age. Bash me if you want (not directed specifically at you tate), but it's true. We give scholies to folks who don't deserve them, and for all the wrong reasons. Now back to the subject at hand because I don't want to hijack this thread with our fucked up College system and this FA Bubble that is going to plague our economy forever most likely...

Best wishes Man.

Could a guy get 2-4 a couple places in Laughlin just in off the street? And the 2-5 in Vegas? Are we talking FB, BB, and Bases?

I used to travel out often back in the day when they really took serious play. So kind of cautious about being limited or cut off.
