Johnny Manziel is officially under contract.

The Browns announced they signed the 6-foot, 210-pound quarterback on Tuesday.

The four-year deal includes a fifth-year club option and is worth $8.248 million, according to FOX Sports 1's NFL reporter Mike Garafolo.
Manziel, who has been competing with quarterback Brian Hoyer for first-team reps, will report with the rest of the team at Browns’ training camp on July 25.

While head coach Mike Pettine has said that Hoyer was ahead of Manziel in last week’s mandatory minicamp, he also noted that the gap between the two quarterbacks isn’t “insurmountable.”

The Browns have four of their six draft picks under contract, but still have yet to come to an agreement with No. 8 overall pick Justin Gilbert.
