Seems to be a lot of tight asses on here lately.

It's sad, been coming here since 2001, back when a dude could crack a joke without being pounced on by a bunch of humourless troglodytes

and yet it's discouraged. People (no names) seem to feel that because they can't appreciate subtle humour, that they must deny it's presence to others.

Sad really

Nothing wrong with joking around in my opinion.

Why must we be so serious all of the time.

The only problem I see is that it's difficult to judge someone's expressions by text and sometimes there's confusion because we can't actually hear how they're meaning something...

agree with Hache. its why interpersonal communication is going into the shitter. nobody talks anymore. its all email, text, FB, Twitter, etc....

you gotta have a sense of humor in life or you will die young

I am in sales and the amount of deals I have to do over email than in person or over the phone is astounding

We all tend to be a bit too critical of one another here. Every one of us is guilty of that including myself.

I think you're referring to negative reaction to your repeating of the same joke over and over again.

I wouldn't judge this negative reaction as a lack of sense of humor; to the contrary I believe it is that some people actually have a discerning sense of comedy taste. When a joke gets crickets the first time, I don't think it's time to repeat it again...and then again. It's not that people are too PC, it's flat out that joke was dumb and then got dumber as you kept posting it over and over.

PS are you any relation to Omnivorious Frog? You sign your posts the same way. ;)

One person's humor is another person yelling "racist" at the top of their lungs and that is the worst thing you can call someone in this pussified world.

Absolutely belongs. Problem is it can sometimes be difficult to interpret through a message board.

actually, when a joke gets "crickets" I feel it's my responsibility to repeat it, endlessly, until I'm certain that the group, forum, team whatever actually "GETS" it.

Get used to a lot of the same in the future my humourless friend, a LOT!
