When wagering on live soccer - the bet is dependent on the score going forward from the time of the bet, not the final out come like all the other major sports.

Wish I knew that before wagering on Algeria when they were up 1-0 - Belgium scored two goals and I lost.

Really depends on where you bet, actually. F.e. at bet365, one of the sponsors at the top of the RX, the 3way market is based on the end result, while the Asian Handicap (AHC) market is settled on the score going forward from the moment you placed your wager.
The same applies for pinnacle (Handicap based on the score going forward, 3way moneyline market based on the final result):

Therefore, the game being 0-1, you get very different odds on Belgium AHC-0.5 in play (actually equals a "Belgium not lose bet", pregame would have been Belgium +0.5) and Belgium 3way ML (Belgium to still win the game). In case of the screen shot the handicap bet, actually betting Belgium not to lose, is -125 chalk, while the moneyline bets on Belgium to still win are rather big odds at +273 and +419:

PS: But your bets on Algeria would have lost either way, right? Algeria lost 0-2 going forward but would have lost 1-2 anyways?

Soriano it was at Pinnacle - I had +1.25 goals, whats super dumb is the totals are graded the opposite way for full time when live betting.

Oh well - Just have to make up the 3 units...

Yes, I can see how this might seem strange that only the AHC (handicap) market is graded as if the game was 0-0 when your bet was accepted while the moneyline & total markets are based on the final result incl. all the goals already scored.
Hopefully you make it back today or over the next few days, should be lots of opportunities to do so.
