Let me say first that I understand that this joint is all about number of log-ins and posts. Even people eleven years old or people who never really made a sports bet are welcome and encouraged to add to the numbers. This place does in no way resemble what it was back in the day when it was really "The World's Leading Sportbetting Forum".... as it says at the top.

Now I see threads like "Why does nobody like humor?", and "I just want to break down, the check I deposited from Tasmania is screwing me up!" or whatever it was.

Maybe if we had just a few more serious and meaningful threads in this, the "OFFSHORE FORUM- Online Sportsbetting", we could then get the serious people who are, or have ever been, a serious player would get involved.

For example.... when anyone attempts (not often) to discuss a serious issue like limitations, expectations, any sort of SPECIFIC information about sportsbooks BY NAME, people want to change the subject to Joe Dummy was falsifying his record on the site or whatever. Why are we even here if not to share info and help one another to deal with sport betting issues.

How about this!!!!!

Set up a new sub-forum called "Mickey Mouse Bullshit", or some similar title. Let the kids play in that area and discuss soap operas or whatever they want to. I'm not saying no one should have interest in this stuff, but not cogging up the real threads.
I don’t mean to be critical of the Mods. I know one of their jobs is to accelerate posting and create threads and keep them moving. But….. must be a downer to have to invent these threads on entertainment, politics, and any other sort of childish shit just because people are not grown up enough to participate in a REAL thread.

Apologies in advance for hurting anyone’s feeings. I understand it is my own age and experiences working against me. I just really miss the days when there was loads of real and meaningful content on here. Most of the people posting plays are grocery dollar players, or not players at all and are just using the forum to dream and pretend they were really a player. I say this because of all the absurd comments about units and locks and all, none of which is possibly true. You see….. a guy who posts seven or eight plays a day is going broke….. in fact he already is and he is playing around on the forum.
Are we really to a point that nobody can win a few plays for a dime+ and not be cut off and we just don’t want to recognize it and discuss it? I have been cut off at times in the past. It’s demoralizing and depressing when you are a guy who remembers when you could make real sports bets.

Well anyway…. Do we really have ANY intent or expectation that this is really an Offshore Forum any more?

in all honesty most people post plays on gambling forums to stroke their own egos and get attention.....Discussions across gambling forums for a long time is what percentage are "air-bettors" and I bet it's probably a high %

Great post..

And a muther fkn perfect example of that is my current thread here in offshore..

The intent to get a discussion. Recap the nba playoffs with other guys pro or not with what works or doesent.

Yet I have to deal with coksukking moocow and enfuego ripping apart the thread adding ZERO.

Lol you know pack if they ripped me and added some info I wouldn't of cared about the bashing. Lol..

Non sponsored sportsbook talk is discouraged at this place.
If I started a thread about xyz sportsbook and they don't have a banner up top it gets moved to the offshore talk section that nobody reads.

As far as sub forums this place is already too segregated to begin with so if you divide it even more it will become even more of a ghost town.

Balls on accurate Danny! But we have forums titles for plays. We know when we enter those areas that the vast majority of what's on there is a joke. I don't think there is any way to change that. We all know in a short period of time who is to be respected and who's LOCKS are full of crap.

I just wish there was more real content in THIS area dealing with authentic sports betting topics. That used to be the case..... So I don't think it is an impossibility.

A few years back some of the other sub-forum were deleted and brought to the offshore forum. It's just a mix of Sports/gambling and everything else.

taking sports, you need to go to those sub forums.
just weed through the BS threads, it's that simple

OK Chop. I hope you know I respect you (have not met you).... but your efforts certainly deserve everyone's respect.

So all due respect..... We are saying that unfortunately the good old days are gone and we don't have enough REAL guys on here to have a reasonable discussion. I guess I understand your comment about named sponsors. But, I think full disclosure and HAMMERING of books that are guilty of wrongdoing and are not sponsors should be allowed. BY NAME. Of course maybe this place is run by "suits" similar to the ones who ruined Vegas... and we have to remain PC in case some half-butt, crooked, pathetic book may want to sponsor in the future. Wouldn’t want to discourage that!

That sub forum was created just for this reason. I don't see a problem with it.

"and we have to remain PC in case some half-butt, crooked, pathetic book may want to sponsor in the future. Wouldn’t want to discourage that!"

Afraid this is already the case. I see some very positive comments on here about some of the sponsoring books which I know to be either untrue or would certainly be untrue if the guy making the statement was really a player.

Tate makes a good comment.

I suppose referring to that fact that I am probably out of bounds for making the statement I made. Even if correct..... I guess criticizing sponsoring books is (I guess) over the line.

Books that ONLY allow low limit recreational play and still badger the heck out of people for deposits.... that does not make them bad books. Even if they cut us off when we beat them.... does that make them a bad book?..... to some of us that are of no use..... but as long as they pay when required.... they are a "good" book.

I made this comment earlier in the thread:

"Apologies in advance for hurting anyone’s feeings. I understand it is my own age and experiences working against me. That's my problem. Not anyone else's, I guess

i will say this...I don't really agree with a ton of subforums. I came over here from another place and it was a bit daunting to scroll down and see how many different "sections" there were here.

in all honestly I look at this section, the current sport I am gambling in and maybe the service play section to fade some touts.

I could care less about religion, politics or rubber room, so to me....it's all in what is important to you and really....if it's not for you...don't read it

I think your suggestion had already been put into place. The problem is the traffic. They did create a sub forum exactly like the one you are talking about. The only problem is nobody reads it.

I don't think your idea is a bad one in a perfect world. In reality the traffic is not there to support your idea.
And the reasons for that are many and would require another thread.

Tbh, at least as far as I perceived it, you just came out stating your record and talking about going pro. No word about discussing approaches to bet the NBA or other useful stuff, before the thread completely derailed.
In general there is little participation if somebody tries to start a discussion on certain games/sports or betting approaches in the offshore forum., even in the subforum for the different sports it's mostly picks without any reasoning or discussion

Thanks Chop.

Like I said in the very beginning of the thread.... things are not like they used to be. The "suits" are elliminating any situation where we can ever work hard enough, or know enough to be smarter than them. Therefore you can't make serious bets any more for long and win without being barred. Everything has to be nice and polite and we need to LOSE or the books are not happy. "Recreational" means "LOSER", does it not? I guess I am answering my own questions.

Ever miss the good old days? Everyone does... if they indeed ever experienced real gambling. Which 99% of the people on here never did!

I rather not have a mash up of all things in one place. Think about finding that one thread you really want to read. Why should you go through pages to find it.
