What do you use and which brand do prefer...

I use Mach 3 system - I dont have a heavy beard, coming to the end of my stash of blades wondering is there is a better alternative out there?

Blade is the best. Buy on ebay. Blades are usually stolen, but beats what Gillette is trying to steal from us for blades.

Blades all day long, electric doesn't even work for me.

I think I'm using schik quattro right now, not sure, I switch around a lot when they have sales on the new handles that come with 3-4 packages of blades (that are cheaper than replacement blades for my current razor).

I have a very heavy beard but only have to change blades like once a month, not sure why others have to change so often.

Make your blades last longer by completely drying them after each use. They don't really 'get dull' as much as they 'rust out' from water left on them. If you can leave them dipped in oil until your next use, that's even better. You can get a month out of a single 'disposable' razor.

Disposable razor, I would rather shave with an axe.

Listen to this and ditch DSC for Dorco. Save even more with the same product.

Blade for me..... I agree w/ the letting the blade dry. Makes the blade last much longer. I usually go 2+ weeks on one razor.

the two guys that mentioned Dorco are very smart men. Thats where dollar shave club buys their razors. So you can eliminate the middle man and buy them directly. and they are every bit as good as the insane costly razors at the store. You can buy a years worth easy for maybe $25

That's about what i spend a year for great razors with the discounts from DORCO. Was spending 4-6X's that on the Mach bullsjit.

Thanks going to try this method "stroping" and report back - just put a new blade in lets see how long it lasts - usually I get about 2 weeks

I have been using the stroping method for roughly 7 weeks and blade is still going strong.

I also order Dorco because I was on my last blade - I have used that razor twice recently I like it much better than my MACH three and only paid $25 + shipping for $9.99
