Duncan only has 1-2 years left, so obviously this type of trade offee would never materialize.

But, let's just say it was offered to the Spurs.

They would be faced with one hell of a dilemma.

1. Do we disrespect one of our own career-players who's one of the greatest ever, and kick him to the curb?

2. No way we can turn an offer like this down & Tim will just have to understand.

Wouldn't Duncan be THE best ever Spur by far. (Who else but "The Iceman"?) Some would probably consider The Admiral.

Still got to pull the trigger as long as you are sure you have someone to take the last shot. Bronnie cries for his Momma when pressure shots arise.

You're right packer, Duncan should be considered the best Spurs player ever, but I think David Robinson is just as good as Duncan, if not better, but simply didn't have the lengthy career.

But then again, the two are considered at different positions.

One thing I will always remember & kind of frown on with David Robinson is when he & Shaq were battling for the league scoring title one year.
It came down to the final game, and Robinson ' teammates & even opponents moved aside to allow him 70+ points in that last game to ensure he toppled Shaq as league scoring champ...

I remember that and that was weak. Other than that, guess I had great respect for Robinson. I was always a huge fan of The Iceman.

Really aging myself more than usual on that one. Some of the Kiddies on here may not even know who that is?

Originally with the Virginia Squires of the ABA. George was an originator of the finger-roll.

Gervin recorded a remarkable streak of scoring double figures in 407 consecutive games and was the first guard ever to win three titles in a row

I think management would accept the trade, pop would be furious but instead of quitting his job like timmy expects, he may decide to give it a go and coach lebron (but he will act like he is mad about this)

I do think Timmy would retire

Hmmm. A 29 year old Lebron James for a 39 year old Tim Duncan. What a tough one.

I may trade Archie Manning for Andrew Luck as well. The Spurs don't owe Tim Duncan a damn thing.

I think Lakers dump Kobe in a heartbeat for Lebron

Every other team dumps every other guy

Duncan is the only one that I think may be kept even though a horrible team decision

Oh yeah, Durant probably isn't traded either

So crazy in sports. These owners are smart business people but some deals are so obviously stupid. Here you go Kobe, what are you 37 and hurt the last 2 seasons, here is one third of our guaranteed cap space.

"Lets draft the 42nd version of Michael Vick in Bob Griffin, he will be great" Amazing
