+1,050 in world cup........should have bet Belgium to advance in parlay & straight bet, would have middled the game since I had USA +1/2.

I wont be betting anymore but will try to break down some matches & try to figure out the winners because its summer & there isn't any other sport that interests me until the NFL starts........still have some futures & live plays on Colombia.........

Futures play.......Colombia to win it all (+1616).........$200 to win $3,232

Future bet: Colombia (+1250).......$500 to win $6,250

Colombia (+370)......$1,000 to win $3,700

Colombia +1/2 (+105).......$1,000 to win $1,050

Colombia to advance (+195)......$2,000 to win $3,900

The question is which game/games will end in a draw in regulation? Tons of money to be made on the draw play......we had 5 draws out of 8 games.......good money if you bet the draw in every game.

I'm thinking 2 draws......Germany vs France will draw & Netherland vs Costa Rica will draw.......seems like FIFA wants action in their last game of each round & what better way than to take a game to overtime.

Let's break the games down further.......

I believe we will see 2 favs cover & 2 dogs.......only dog I see winning outright is Colombia........

I kept looking at France but I think Germany will show up & play to their potential, although I see a tight game taking it to overtime & Germany winning in extra time.

I think Netherlands will be heavily bet like Brazil vs Chile & Germany vs Algeria........Netherland will win it on penalty kicks in overtime.

Colombia will win 2-1 in a thriller in regulation. Argentina & Messi take it to a weak Belgium team that wakes up towards the end of each game & playing Argentina, that's too late........2-0

As of now, I'm looking at Germany vs Colombia & Argentina vs Netherlands.......

Im hoping Colombia makes it to the final game........

Here are the scenarios I see for the final match.......Germany vs Argentina or Colombia vs Netherlands.......

Let's not forget there has been 6 straight games with a scoreless 1st half.......

Will the draws & unders continue in the 1st half?

Totals for entire game was 1 over, 6 unders & 1 push in knockout round of 16......

If I dig anything else up, I will post it. If anyone has anything on these matches they are willing to share, please do........

Go Colombia!!!

Anyone have any information on how the favs/dogs have done in the knockout round of 8 after all 8 favorites had advanced from round of 16?

Anyone have any information on how the favs/dogs have done in the knockout round of 8 after all 8 favorites had advanced from round of 16?

Dogs have fared far better in the quarter finals versus the round of 16 in recent history. It's actually almost split evenly a third to the favorite, third to the dog and third to the draw. Slight lean towards favorites advancing over dogs for matches that do go to extra-time/penalties. Overs have been more frequent this round compared to round of 16 at around a 55/45 clip compared to 40/60 for previous round, although the Unders have been trending in the most recent WC's for this round.

Only chance I see Ticos having is getting into PK's...if that happens, we can just go home if you have an idea of our history w/penalties...

What games have the best chance of a draw in this round of 8.......we've already had 5 of 8 games draw in round of 16, so will we see more than 2 games draw?

Got a feeling no matter who gets into the final game for the cup, it will be a draw in regulation.......seems the draw is the motto for this works cup.

With 9 draws in the group matches & 5 in the round of 16, that's a lot of money the bookies are making. It seems the books in Europe & anywhere that soccer is the most popular bet sport, books will make more profit than the american books since a soccer match has several ways to bet it as american sports like football & basketball have a team that covers or not.

Americas most popular sports don't have draws/pushes very much & if they do, you don't lose your money.

Here's a parlay that may hit, although I haven't hit a soccer parlay yet in this tournament, pathetic, lol!

Germany draw (+205), Colombia to advance (+195), Argentina to advance (-172), Netherlands (+305)..........if it hits, I won't be mad because I didn't play it :) maybe I should bet it but I have enough action on Colombia........

PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil – Shkodran Mustafi will get his first World Cup start for Germany in the second round match against Algeria on Monday.
Mustafi replaces center back Mats Hummels, who is out with the flu. Mustafi will start at right back, with Jerome Boateng moving into the central position.
Germany coach Joachim Loew also picked Bastian Schweinsteiger over Sami Khedira for his defensive midfield, as he did in last group match against the United States.
Algeria coach Vahid Halilhodzic opted to start with the attacking duo of Hilal Soudani and Islam Slimani for the first time this tournament.
Slimani was on the bench for most of the team's opening match but has scored in the last two games and was the team's standout player when it beat South Korea 4-2.

have appreciated the input, but I still see a brazil 2-0 win vs Colombia... Brazil has been very lax, almost like it's a war of attrition.... I see them winning 2-0 vs Colombia. If Ivory Coast can break them down, I can see them getting beat in middle/defensive third.

When you say things like... I can't wait for NFL to start to put in some 8 team parlays, it just makes me feel like you put to much stock in a price that looks too good to be true. At this stage of the tourney, group play means nothing, and previous results mean nothing. It's all about matchups... Can Cuadrado make that impact? He is the x-factor here... not James Rodriguez, as he should be neutralized by Luiz/Thiago Silva. Can Marcelo continue to leak forward, and what will break? My guess is that a home nation, with a deeper/more balanced squad has this.

We should talk NFL in the near future, but this one is no good for you... Please, please hedge your futures on this Colombia squad. I would pay for your 8 team NFL $25 lotto ticket parlay everyweek if I am wrong.

What will change for Brazil that makes you think they will play w/o mistakes vs Colombia? Brazil has been nothing but mistake prone this entire tournament. Colombia doesn't make mistakes & until this Colombia team gets some respect by the public & oddsmskets, they will keep winning.

As for hedging, can't hedge in soccer because of the way the bets are set up with the draw included.

That's what's great about the NFL, you can always hedge your bet & lose juice if you decide you font like your bet anymore as long as you can get s favorable line to middle the bets or push.

And no, I'm not changing my bets, I love Colombia in this game!

Very crazy......... also, 9 straight favorites that have advanced .......if Colombia doesn't advanced, I will be surprised........I think they are the best dog of the round of 8

-$3,650........what a swing, from +$3,700.......$7,300 swing.

Brazil.played great & Colombia played like thry didnt know snything about soccer except for tackling people for the first 70 minutes of the game........

It was an entertaining last 25 minutes to say the least.

As for the refs, I think they were on drugs the entire game & were tired to pull out any yellow cards........what a physical game by both sides & Silva for Brazil with the bonehead play of the tournament by running into Colombia's goalie.

8 straight 1st half games with the under coming in.

10 straight games where the favorite advanced ........

I think I will stick to american based sports.......

I hope Germany wins the cup now.......Germany wins 3-2 vs Brazil........that means go opposite of me since I have pucked a winner in a while.

TCG... I started out +5k in the first 4 days... absolute disaster since then. Down about 3k overall myself now. Only thing I have a future losing play with Brazil at 3/1. They are not going to beat Germany.
