I was driving on the interstate and we were all traveling around 65-70mph. Suddenly this car is just about to plow into me from the driver side. I floored it, made a sharp right, and laid on the horn. I looked over and of course, he was texting. Totally unaware of his surroundings'. If was packing I would probably be in jail right now. That could of easily turned into a fatal accident. I just thank God that no one was hurt. I was just wondering has anyone else ever found themselves in a situation were they were almost senselessly killed?
I've been hit by a car twice in my lifetime.. And that's just the tip of the iceberg... Not to mention legitimate threats because of my action/reactions
as for texting and driving, thankfully you were paying attention. Drivers seem to be getting worse daily
A "lost bullet" fired by a security guard landed 5cm from my head while sleeping when I was 7. Bullet bounced 3 times before stopping, wall, ground, etc.
Almost drowned once... got pulled into the rocks and smashed against several times before being able to swim away. Whole body with cuts on it.
Hit by a bus while skateboarding, fortunately, it hit me with the rearview mirror on my shoulder and I was pushed away from the wheels.

Floating down the river on a raft. Tree is lying over the edge of the river and as we head directly for the tree, I try and duck to go under. The front of the raft hits the tree and bends back due to the momentum of the river. I dove into the water but my leg was caught in a sort of sandwich between the front end and back end of the raft. It had me trapped underwater for about 30 seconds before I was able to free my leg.

1. complications from a ruptured appendix had me close to kicking it (13 days in hospital, lost 25 pounds I didn't have to lose at the time)...they ended up cutting me open without knowing exactly what they were going for and then found out my appendix was gangrenous and already popped
2. cracked my head open on a metal radiator and broke an artery and lost a ton of blood (literally pumping out of my head...looked like an axe murderer scene)
3. took a chisel across the eye and scratched my cornia pretty bad (still see trails out of one eye because of it)...self inflicted as a child
4. fell into a lit fireplace when I was two....tripped on the decorative railing outside of it and luckily only my wrist and arm made it to the fire and got burned...small scar from that one
5. cops pulled out on me once, but that is the only time I have been threatened by a gun
6. huge surf day in LA, had no business going out, but had already driven the hour or so to the spot....couldnt get out past the break the first two times I tried....then finally made it....waited about 30 mins outside the break for a smaller set wave I thought I could maybe handle...went for it and didnt catch it...then got caught inside and the next set pummled me, broke my leash and snapped my board....was stuck way offshore with no board in huge surf....stayed calm and slowly got tumbled/swam in over the next 40 mins or so, but took a lot to stay calm.....also took a board in the dome in el salvador that required some staples, but that wasnt nearly as scary as the broken leash and snapped board

I guess closest I've came when I was jumped. Woke up with police and ambulances around me. But nothing serious scrapes and bruises with memory loss and a concussion...

Crazy reading about the river stories. Been kayaking for over 30 yrs and got caught in a strainer on a swollen river I had no business on. After the first initial panic I worked my lose after several times fighting for air. Scary till this day

was out drinking until 6am back in my 20's. About 8 of us ended up going for a swim in the ocean and... without even knowing what happened, a few of us got caught in a rip current. It was taking us out to sea... very very strong current. I did the opposite of what was supposed to be done. I fought the current and swam against it in a panic. Was taking in water during the struggle but never gave up. ended up crawling onto the beach with not a bit of strength left. Totally wiped out and bleeding from my mouth when i bit my tongue. The current was just a constant pull to go under and out. Scary shit with no lifeguards and drunk

I was traveling in India, riding a scooter, was riding on my side of the road when a taxi driver roared around a truck from the other side of the road. I was about 3 lanes away from him to give ya an idea of how far he came to get me. I can only assume that the truck was moving to slow for his liking and since there is no fking rules on the road there he made his own path, smoked me and bailed. Luckily somebody ended up helping me. Ended up in a shithole 3rd world hospital till they could transfer me safely to a better facility. Woke up more scared i'd leave with hepatitis than I was of my own injuries. Got lucky fractured ribs, broken arm and nose, lots of scrapes and bruises but should've probably have bit it.
2rd time I was drunk and made a pit stop at burger king for a personal best 3 triple whoppers with bacon and cheese and 2 large onion rings...and a diet coke
personal best not achieved, think I made it thru one burger before passing out and waking up in my vomit, pretty sure I could've choked on my own vomit so dodged a 2nd bullet 
The other good news besides my surviving, I didn't puke on the bag so triple whoppers were ready for breakfast that next morning.
