why not hit a news station. Does anyone really sit around and watch CNN, FOX News, ETC? Christ, I'm in a place waiting for a pizza and I'm about to whip a salt shaker at the screen! They will air a baby having it's head cut off if it gets ratings^<<^
The "news" is nothing buy sensationalist fear mongering. There is no investigative journalism anymore, look at 60 minutes, they're so eager to get a story they'll put anything on the air without fact checking, and most stories are simply shilling for a book that's coming out from their publishing business. CNBC will have stories all day every day blatently making up stories to explain the day's market movements. Panels with 5 people arguing why the market is going to crash. Don't even get me started about FOX, they're not even worth mentioning as a legitimate source, and their motto of "fair and balanced" is laughable.
I'm totally convinced that the next generation of "news" will be crowd sourced, truly independent, impossible to control by government or special interest regardless of how much money they have. The more information people in the world have, the better, and that's coming more from twitter than tv.
My big fear is that terrorists will hit a major sporting event. I mean, how much security is there at some college football games? You could have tens of thousands of people at risk if just one nutjob were to get through security.
Good movie. One of those movies that you hope the terrorists never try to emulate.Did you ever see the movie "Black Sunday" about terrorists placing bombs in a football stadium that hosted the 1977 Superbowl between Dallas & Pittsburgh?
Good movie for that time & I guess with all the craziness in the 60's & 70's, it was possible but not as much as when we look at today's scenarios & technologies.
If something happened at a sporting event today, it would be disastrous.
