If I had more money I would have been very, very, very rich, I would have bought Facebook stock when it was about $40, and its now over $70, I would have bought Google stock when It was about $85 and its about $585.00 now.

This is truly incredible, because the stocks I had an eye for, all turn good profits. talk about a gem, its google, Just imagine buying 10,000 at $85, the return on that is over 5 million dollars.

Why, why. You gotta have money to make the big money.

This thread takes the cake for "past-posting". Even Russ would cringe at this one.

Just think "Man, if I would have had that $850K just lying around...." And enough left over to buy the CRYSTAL BALL!

pecker, what I said was if I had more money, there are thousands up on thousands of persons with that in the bank, just as there are millions who have at least $1,000 in the bank and not have to use it right away, smh. Most people dont read or reason, it does not have to be 10,000 It could have been 1000 shares which for a $85,000 investment reaps over $500,000. go figure

OK. I was really just meaning to have a little fun with the past-posting thing. You know sometimes seems to be an epidemic of that going on around here!

My father asked me to look at a stock booklet back in 1991 & pick out a stock for him.to invest in.......I didn't know much about stocks as a 20 year old but I chose SwissAir. He asked me why I liked it, I said......Switzerland is a neutral country that never vets into hot water & the airline is a good investment. Well, he bought some shares & within a few years, it went up & split 2 or 3 times (can't remember) & he banked. I got a trip to Europe out of it which was cool.

Netflix is the one I let go......grr! I should have played it at $90 2 years ago, its up past $400 now.......

Like in sports betting, try not to over analyze stocks.

5/3rd Bank was at .99c when the banking crisis hit back in 2008. Everyone thought they were tanking, my wife worked there. We were so close to putting $20K in when I had money, but didn't. Makes me sick when I think about it. It's over $20 today
